2025 Racing Thread

I didn't see this thread started yet, so I figured I'd go ahead and make it with this special announcement:

Should be an interesting season, with potential topics such as: Hamilton's eventual move to Ferarri; Horner's allegations of "inappropriate behaviour"; Ricciardo's decline and goodbye to F1; Red Bull's decline, Checo's dismissal, and the promotion of Lawson to his seat; McLaren's looking like a championship; F1's youth movement with up to six rookie drivers (depends on how you define rookie); Newey to Aston Martin; and I'm sure a bunch of other stories that escape me right now.

There is also this coming out this summer....

Woah, Christian Horner was fired from Red Bull

This has to be one of the biggest firings in the sports history.

Outside it's night time, but inside it's LeDay

Holy crap. They stayed with him through a scandal. Must have been a demand from Max.

*Marko. I think it's very likely Max goes to either Aston to join Newey (who has likely done massive amounts of aero work on the new 2026 regs for AM) or otherwise Mercedes at this point.

Would be a crazy shakeup if he joins Aston. And an awkward conversation to fire Lawrence's son.

I get the feeling that Lance would rather do anything but race F1 anymore. If he has an easy out that makes it look like he's doing a favor to the team by stepping out and possibly another role within the team, I wouldn't be shocked if this is his last year.
