The Jacksonville Jaguars must sort out their running back room in training camp. Rookie Bhayshul Tuten ensured on the first day that he'll get ample consideration for the top spot on the depth chart.
Garry Smith of the Florida Times-Union reports that Tuten broke off a handful of big runs, adding that the rookie routinely showcased his top-notch speed to start training camp
I'll be at camp Friday and one day next week to see in person how he is doing.

Out effing standing!!!
Awesome for him.
I'm still surprised he came back to school in 2024, I was sure he was going to the draft after his first year in Blacksburg.
This is as expected
I love Tuten. He has worked his butt off for this and it is gratifying to see it paying off for him.
He's the best back we've had since Wilson. A legit threat to take it the distance every time he touches the ball.
Correct. Travon McMillian was a better back than how he was used- i.e. whenever he would break off a big run- he wouldn't see the ball for 2 quarters- interesting to say the least.
Still think he should've gone with the nickname Trillian. ;^)
Khalil Herbert was pretty damn good too
My auction draft fantasy league is very serious, so it is unlikely he goes under others' radar, but I hope I can snag him for cheap.
Unfortunately I primarily play with you guys on sleeper.
Tuten looked great today. Fast on handoffs, caught every pass, took kickoff returns back.
Always glad to hear out guys do well, I feel like Hokies RBs have been snake bitten by injuries once they get to the NFL. I'm my life time, the only Hokie RB to have a 1000 yard season in the NFL that I can think of is Kevin Jones his rookie year, and even then I seem to recall injury issues after that.
Crazy guys like Stith, Suggs, RMFW, Darren Evans, and David Wilson could never find any sort of long term success in the league. If Tuten can stay healthy he's going to tear it up in the NFL.
No doubt we've had some really good backs that just didn't make it, but we've also squandered some of them with piss poor performance in other aspects of the game. But fortunately, their talent didn't go unnoticed as the above comments prove, even for those with weak supporting casts. Thinking about it reminded me of OJ and the hapless Bills. Bad as they were, look how great he was. Until, of course, he wasn't, but damn, that dude could run that ball even without blockers.
"The Untouchables" is the greatest nickname for a pair of running backs and I'll fight you if you disagree.
Idk, "Thunder & Lightning" was pretty good too
Fizzled pretty bad in 2007 Clemson-VT game(VT win 41-23) ;
more like 'spark and static"-
also perfect example of Beamer Ball with 1 TD each from interception, punt return, and kickoff return

Clemson
Clemson Rushing CAR YDS AVG TD LONG
James Davis 6 9 1.5 0 5
C.J. Spiller 6 3 0.5 0 5
Cullen Harper 11 -4 -0.4 0 7
team 23 8 0.3 0 7
That's EIGHT yards rushing for Clemson's entire TEAM(even excluding sacks, it was only 12!)
Reminding me of when we beat Texass in the first Sugar Bowl and us beating those highly touted BMW backs.
I'll fight you, because the name should have been Jones, Suggs, and Harmony if any of those poll voters would have been aware of popular music of the time.
Just picked this up
Hold on to that card. It may be worth big bucks one day. Has a misprint on the back.
"The Virginia State tailback tied..."
It's a 1 of 1 regardless and I am pretty sure its his only 1 of 1 in a Hokies uniform
$$$$$$$
Annddd he is day to day with a hamstring injury.
Damn it!!!
Well there it is......
no...they've seen enough, know what they have and want to let him rest a couple days.
My bad y'all I said "If he can stay healthy" while referencing a Hokie RB in the NFL. This is clearly my fault.
Tuten practiced today had a good catch and run.
Just watched Tuten push through first contact in a pile for an extra five yards and a TD in a Jacksonville-Pitt preseason game. Looked exactly like one of his plays at VT. Let's go!
Fuck yeah!!!!
Make them assholes tackle you.
At the risk of being too repetitive...this just seemed appropriate.
Guess my only thought was Tuten was in the game, which would indicate he is third or fourth on the depth chart. Guess his injury time may be part of it. Thought he might have been top two based on all the articles out of Jags camp.
Just going off the box score, he was the most versatile RB for the Jags. Same stats as Tank except Tuten had a TD and his long was 8 yds, Tank's long was 7 yds. Tuten also had 2 receptions in the game, Etienne was the only other RB to have a reception with 1.
Seems to me he had a good game for his first NFL game. Hope to see him get more playing time.
He's third. They have Etienne and Bigsby returning. Etienne only played the first series and Bigsby played one or two. Tuten played more than any other back. Jags are excited about him but the question right now is pass blocking. They have nothing behind Lawrence at QB...Mullens is supposed to be the primary backup and he was awful last night...Steelers muffed 3 picks. Henigan, the undrafted rookie looked better.
His first run was 6 yards. As seen above , he had a good night.
Was at the preseason game he was catching passes well, getting open as a safety valve and running hard. Past protection was tough to see from the stands though,
meanwhile, Ashton Jeanty got 3 carries for -1 yard.....
Oakland's O line was awful in that game.
Absolutely...first guy touched him like 6 yards in the backfield. Set up for failure.
Any Raiders fans here that can give me lowdown on their OL/OC/Coaching? I am picking 10 out of 10 players in my fantasy football team and it's looking like I need to make decision on taking Jeanty with my snake pick in 2nd round.
Tatem or Tuten getting first team reps in practice today.
Funny, I thought he was going to miss most of the season for the Celtics this year.
Even better for some reason when I type "Tuten" the apple automatic "fix" is TUTEN! Like I have to scream his name at all times.
DRAGON! McMillan
Tatem? Tuten?
I have this feeling that Tuten and Lane are going to make us wish Tyler Bowen was gone sooner.
They did that while they were both still here.
Bowen wasn't the o line coach, so can't totally blame him for Tuten not getting to show his actual potential. Passing scheme definitely fucked Lane.
If Lane gets some run in the slot in DC, he's gonna be a menace in that offense.
OL and qb accuracy..
But then lane was only wr that was able to get open
Gosnell
who was the QB coach?
Our boy Rooten Tooten bull rushes into the end zone vs the Saints today. Impressed in practice, backs it up when it counts. Good for Bayshul. So happy for him.
