If you're referring to Steph Curry - no you haven't seen this before, as he wasn't even in the top 100 and wasn't being recruited by any P5 teams

Now finish up them taters; I'm gonna go fondle my sweaters.

Hindsight being 20-20, of course, I've heard all the reasons, the numbers and the metrics and the excuses. Never will I think passing on Dell Curry's kids was a good thing. Never, ever, regardless of those things. Obviously, they were WRONG, sorry for the caps, but in my feeble mind, that's the way I hear it. I'll never leave that hill.

Same - but I am still in the camp (cause Steph has essentially said so himself) that he would not have developed into the player he is and became in college if he had come to VT.

Yes but the bigger issue wasnt steph, it was his brother, after seeing what steph could do we then didn't full court press on Seth?

Dell had his jersey in the rafters in Cassell. Ibrahim averaged like 3 pts per game his last two years at VT.

His dad sure did. During the 89-90 season the lowly Hokies upset Alabama at home 76-75. In that game Ibrahim (the kids father) had a dunk. The crowd went nuts. He wasn't the most coordinated basketball player, so he was as much surprised as he was excited to have the opportunity to jam it. Now, keep in mind, it was a solo "breakaway" dunk created by our defense.

That upset was a big game. I was there a few rows back from the court. Great seats. The Roanoke news covered the upset game. Me and my dorm buddies were on TV going nuts.

We also stormed the court afterwards and somehow got to the players tunnel. We were running with the team, cheering, yelling, screaming, jumping and Oladotum and I high fived each other. It was awesome.

But, it didn't last very long as we were quickly recognized as a bunch of idiot students and we escorted back to the stands and properly exited.

Great game. The crowd was electric. I also remember taunting the big power forward continuously and at one point he mouthed to us "Fuck You". We were laughing and jeering him all game.

Great memory.

Life is good.

Tried to find a pic of his father playing for us back in the day.

Probably not a good sign that I can't find a single pic of anyone in that family wearing orange and maroon, lol

I will get my hopes up to about to a little under 1% for this.

Plan for the worst and hope for the best, not the other way around.

That high?

So your telling me there's a chance gif

Ibrahim and I lived on the 5th floor in Cochrane Hall (it was still called NUF then) at the same time. Great guy. Would be fantastic if his son found his way to Blacksburg, but probably won't be holding my breath.
