The English Premier League kicks off this afternoon. I know the title is EPL centric but I also know that there is interest in other leagues. For that reason, this will be a catchall thread for the Big 5 European leagues. (EPL, Bundesliga, La Liga, Serie A, Ligue 1)

Still gotta wait a week for Bundesliga to start, but at least we have cup games this weekend.
Effzeh actually made some decent moves this window, so I'm hopeful we actually stay comfortably in the first division.
Welp - my fantasy PL team fell out of the starting blocks sheesh
Started following Kilmarnock in the Scottish PL and Brentford in the EPL last year. Hope for better results for both clubs this year!
Tottenham causes me so much pain and sadness.
Same. At least we got our European trophy. But Levy has poisoned the club so much. It's going to take forever too fix the club
Existence is pain 😢 looking forward to the Pochettino reunion tour next season /s
I really thought that Frank would work well with Totty, he's on thin ice. Arse walking the league doesn't help his case either.
Tough season for Liverpool :(
Not getting Guehi really screwed us, I think. And I haven't been impressed with the offensive pieces added. Losing Diaz and Nunez hurts more than I think people thought it would. The team just seems so unbalanced and Salah hasn't done jack shit most of the season. It's kind of remarkable the team is in 4th, honestly
Tough season indeed, if I wasn't at the Liverpool v. Tottenham game this past April to see us win the league, I would be far more bitter about this season. Honestly that euphoria is still present, and honestly I'm chalking this season up to adapting to a slew of new players. The turnover was too severe, and the loss of Jota plays a bigger role than I think most Red supporters are willing to say.
Diaz wanted to leave, so there wasn't much we could do about that, and Nunez pressing we miss for sure, but again, his inability to finish in front of the goal counteracted the pressing monster he was.
Salah's sunshine is starting to set, and I honestly think they resigned him simply as a poker chip to sell to the Saudi league by the summer.
I hate that Guehi fell through, but I think our problems are far greater than that deal falling through. We lack width on the left side, pressing on the right side (when Salah is playing), and I think we need a deep lying midfielder that can push the ball further forward with a clinical pass. Ryan is a #8 posing as a #6, he's great on the turn, but he lacks that passing skillset from deep. Lastly, we haven't bought a CB in YEARS outside of Leoni's purchase, so we're kind of up creek without a CB, especially with an aging VVD and Konate leaving in the summer.
TL;DR: 500M spent on a lot of opportunistic players, without filling the holes we needed to fill. And it's biting us in the arse; Arsenal deserve to finally get the league, they've waited 22 years, and even though their fans will be unsufferable when they finally get it, the league is better when there's parity, and LFC/MC are the only two teams to win it over the last 8 years, it's time for some change...
All that to say, Up the Mighty Reds, and we'll keep fighting till the final whistle this season...
