If you haven't played before here's a quick rundown:
6 games each week, I try to capture at least 1 game in each time slot (noon, 3:30, evening, and late) and I also try to pick non-bodybag games that feature teams across D1 football. Some weeks are more successful than others.
We are picking against the spread, not just straight winners. So a (TeamA -6.5) spread is saying Team A will win by at least 7 to beat the spread. If you pick them and they win by 6, you picked wrong. Conversely, if you picked Team B and they lose by 6, you picked right! Do that 6 times and guess the total score of the Tiebreaker Game each week is all you have to do. It's so simple, yet we're all so, so bad at it.
Moving on to...
THE GAMES
1 Texas at 3 AN Ohio State (Bucks -2.5)
IDK much, but if I were a gambling man I'd bet the over on 25% of the broadcast talking about both teams chances to make the Playoffs

8 Alabama at Florida State (Bama -13.5)
9 LSU at 4 Clemson (Clem, son -4.5)

Utah at UCLA (Utauuuuuuugh -6.5)

Virginia Tech at 13 USCe (Usc -7.5)
Honestly, I'm a little shocked it's this low.
6 Notre Dame at 10 Miami (Dam. -2.5)

I really like the away teams
I had the same thought... Am I picking too many road teams?!
Remember when all week one games sucked. Man am I glad that era ended.
they just moved them to week 2. I think i see two games worth watching next week.
Do the lines change? Do I need to check back closer to game time and maybe adjust picks?
No, once the games are picked for the week, everyone is picking against the same lines. If they do happen to change in Vegas, they won't in CBS...so let a word to the wise be sufficient.
I have no idea what to think of Utah vs UCLA. I feel like Utah can beat 90% of FBS teams outright, but can only beat 10% of them by more than a TD.
¹Texas at ³anOhio State (Ohi. -2.5) - Hard to win in the Shoe. Only legends can do that.
⁸Alabama at Florida State (Ala. -13.5) - I'm not entirely sure FSU isn't still broken. I suspect Bama is going to want to pound them to make a point and I think FSU is too soft to do anything about it.
⁹LSU at ⁴Clemson (Cle. -4.5) - I really have no idea here - I'm realizing that my SEC>>ACC bias is impacting me here - I think Clemson is a good team but I think LSU is better. Even if they don't win outright, I have a hard time believing Clemson can win by more than a FG
Utah at UCLA (Uta. -6.5) - ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Virginia Tech at ¹³USCe (SCe. -7.5) - as is customary, I always pick against the Hokies.
⁶Notre Dame at ¹⁰Miami (Dam. -2.5) - as sick as it makes me to my stomach, I like Marcus Freeman and I think he's a good coach.
Thanks for putting this together again!

Beer: I'll probably finish off the 4-pack of Human Robot's 10° Pivo Czech Pale lager. Flavorful, crisp, and only 4.2 %.
Waffle House hashbrowns: I'm very basic. Double order, nothing on them but salt and pepper. I'll put over easy eggs from my All-Star Special on top and mix in the runny yolk.
3 homeys - 3 roadies for me.
This year AI will generate images of my winners. You get some strange results when you type in some image requests and I learned you cannot use phrases like "a long horn beating a buckeye" because AI will not generate images of violence...
EDIT: Well so much for that. The images were there when I first posted, but now they seem to be gone, I guess AI doesn't want to share their work.
Worried about AI stealing what they've made

WHHB: Scattered, covered, chunked, peppered, and capped. Then put an over easy egg on top.
D(rink)OTW: Lite. Golf, long weekend, some wing style chicken legs, football!
