In lieu of starting a new one for every thread, I'll just keep bumping this and changing the OP for each game as its announced.

Let's be honest ... we don't even deserve a broadcast so Snoonzer's is about the next worst option.
Plans to go hiking Saturday morning. First time in a while I've haven't scheduled my September weekends around football.
Such a shame, Pry probably gets a 1 score win finally.
Is this surprising? We could have won both previous games by 50 and no one but the most faithful Hokie fans were ever going to watch us play Wofford.
That will be me. I love being able to watch the starters for the first half and then the backups get serious play time in the second half.
When's the last time you actually saw that tho? Our starters haven't been good enough to put a game away in one half since like 2011
Maybe 2018 William and Mary .....VT won 62-17 and were up 17-0 after 1st, 38-0 at halftime; 55-14 after 3rd, and 62-17 final. 69 different players got on the field for us so at least significant backups played some time. So still at least 7 years...
I really want that against ODU let alone Wofford.
I don't even plan on watching the rest of the season at this point. Pumpkin patches and corn mazes, here I come this fall!
Don't forget the $75 bag of apples at the shop on the way out
The family and I just recently moved to Nelson County. For any familiar, I'm going to Wood Ridge farm brewery with the fam for pumpkins/corn maze and ride the choo choo around while enjoying beer. Sounds infinitely better than VT football atm.
I'll be watching because I enjoy torturing myself, but I won't like one bit of it.
Nope.... My football time on weekends is solely scheduled around the Bills from now on. Until the administration gets serious about fielding a competitive program, I'm done giving them my time.
Keeping my TKP sub though, you guys rock😉👍
That was one hell of a game for you last night then. At least one of your teams and pull off some serious magic.
Loved it. Gotta say, it is nice to be able to be able to look at a score like that with 4:00 to go and be able to say "there's still a chance" because the staff and players know how to manage a clock and have confidence in their leadership on the field.
Certainly still induces minor cardiac events. Can't wait to be there at Highmark for the SNF game in October against the Patriots.
We could have won both the first games 89-0 and it still would be a nooner. Nothing to read into this or take away from it.
What kind brand of dishwasher do I need to be able to get this game?
This got a legit LOL out of me.
It'll be on those TV screens on the gas pumps that have the volume set to 1,000
with commentary by Maria Menounos
Fuck those things. Fuck them right in the ear.
Maria Menounos? I'm not much of an ear guy myself, but the overall sentiment of your message still rings true.
she well qualified bae.
I fully agree
If you press each of the buttons on the side of the screen while the video plays, sometimes they have a mute button enabled on one of them. Or keep some of that chrome tape in your vehicle and tape over the speaker vent. I saw that done one time and it worked really well.
Just means I'll get back to Richmond in time to hit the club Saturday night! (little disappointed to lose time for -sadly-the best part of gamedays so far...the tailgate.)
Welp, not going to bother paying for the day pass to watch this one.
Slightly OT, any (serious) speculation on kickoff time for Wake Forest game?
That's homecoming, which is usually a noon kickoff I believe.
Thanks, I didn't catch that initially.
NC State is set for 7pm on the CW
And yet another game I won't be able to watch because our only local CW station will be showing Judge Judy reruns or some other absurd crap. Way to go WAVY TV.
That gripe aired yet again, this is a good year to miss two games in a row.
Might be our only win....
Edit - Oops, thought he meant Wofford! That may be our only win!
My sweet summer child, they are going to boat race us
I dont care if the fans from the south end zone are suiting up for vt by then. When VT takes the football field against loluva they will always have a chance.
Can't get the Wofford game, but don't care. Also can't believe I feel that way. What a world...
I am pretty sure there will be tickets available.
If I lived in the area, I'd be happy to go for the tailgate but then just go home once the game started.
Living in Chapel Hill, that's what we do for UNC games. I've been to roughly 20x the number of UNC tailgates as I have UNC games. It's actually perfect.
For this NCSU game... I'm going to that. 😳
Oh that's pretty much what we're all talking about doing for it
I'll go to the game because both my older boys are NCSU alum. I've always said that if VT had nothing to play for and NCSU did, I'd pull for NCSU. Will be putting that to the test this weekend. I plan on wearing red, but I'm not sure I can actually, actively cheer for NCSU/against VT.
Lol, I have tickets to the Cal game, but thinking about doing just this if the weather is nice. Go to the 'burg, support NRV local businesses, and enjoy a nice Fall tailgate. Then leave on a high note!
Basically been doing this the last 4ish years. We drive in from Roanoke, tailgate and/or bar hop, shop some, leave. Only difference is that tickets are generally so cheap when we buy during the summer, we go into the game but have no expectations and have whenever to dodge traffic leaving.
If it's not shown on your local CW, you should be able to stream via ESPN. Otherwise ESPN is blacked out and CW airs.
WAVY airs the game over the air, but they're too far and it's too flat, so I can't get the channel. Likewise for Richmond. As for espn, it's on espn+ and I'd have to buy it because it doesn't come with Dish.
Dish doesn't carry ESPN?
Yeah, but you have to pay for a subscription to espn+ which is separate from the regular espns. I'm not buying anything extra, spend enough already. Plus my "smart" Samsung just won't handle the streaming and even if so, not being able to record the show, have pause, etc. denigrates the experience. ACCNx will come in on my computer, and while I can patch it to the tv, the sound just comes from the computer. And I just refuse to watch the game on computer unless it's baseball. And I'm get off my lawn old and the Hokies have pissed me off.
Preach!
It's not streamed on espn+ though if it's on cw? If you have a cable/dish provider with ESPN, you can log into watchespn.com and watch everything broadcasted on ESPN for free. Stuff airing on ESPN+ will never air on linear cable/OTA.
I get all the espn stuff through dish, just not the +. Either way, not having it on something I can record and watch on my tv with pause etc., So, no espn+ and no accnx and no cw or no watch. As I said, I'm mad at 'em and since I don't care like I used to, I'm not going to inconvenience myself one bit to watch. Now, if it were UVA, I'd spend more money or put up with the inconvenience, or even listen to it on the radio. Hopefully, I go back to convoluting to see the games in the future, or hopefully we're too good to be relegated to shitty tv broadcasts. Until then, enjoy the game, I'll read all about it right here.
Lol, I know. I'm saying that you can get all of the "regular ESPN stuff" that you get through dish online FOR FREE. This is completely unrelated to ESPN+. You don't need ESPN+ to watch the wofford game because it's on ACCNx. Even if it's not broadcast over dish in your location, you can get on watches on.com WITHOUT ESPN+.
I have Dish because of our eclectic interests in our tv viewing, so I have all the espn stuff as part of what I'm willing to pay for what we want other than Hokie games. Not looking for a free ride so I can watch it on my computer. Same goes for the accnx. I know some folks can deal with that, hell, folks these days think it's ok to watch movies on their damn phone, but that ain't me.
Worth the long round trip? Nah. Wouldn't take free tickets this year.
