yeah IF being the key...I'm reserving judgement. It can be debated all day and night for years to come but none of us were there or know anything about what happened. I don't think we can use that incident as a citation for why he is or is not a 'dick'
He's a human being as well. I certainly wouldn't want people talking about me in such a negative light when they don't know anything about the situation. The media always puts a slant on any news story they do so IMHO it's highly likely that nothing we've read about the incident is 100% accurate.
Leave the kid alone
I believe that no matter what you do people will talk about you. The key is not to put yourself into situations where it appears that you did something. It has been said where there is smoke there is fire. As for leaving the kid alone, I believe there needs to be something said for the fact that this case was never fully investigated. Media slants are a great excuse. But it's funny how everyone blames the accuser.
Try telling a teenager or college kid, "Never have sex, because someone might accuse you of rape." What you're point is makes sense, but it is irrelevant to the situation at hand in which you are judging him. This is different than people hanging out with drug dealers or gang members and then being guilty by association.
I am in no way blaming the accuser...I'm simply saying that it is unfair to everyone involved for us to be speculating when we don't know the full story. It is impossible to know the full story and that is why I reserve my judgement one way or the other. I'm not going to go around proclaiming that Winston is a 'dick' or a 'saint' because I don't know enough about the situation.

The problem is she wasn't intoxicated. Her toxicology report showed she wasn't drunk and under the influence of any other drugs. I searched around a bit and couldn't find anything unbiased or with proof whether she showed signs of struggle or not. Though I was only halfheartedly searching now since I went through arguing about this six months ago and there is so much cherry picked and misrepresented information to prove a point one way or another.
at the same point this case was not investigated properly when the cops were notified, that is THE problem as I see it.
The strangest part of the story that I read, The last sentence. Worse than rape is trying to join a rape. Weird.
