Tonight we get Tulsa up early on Ok St and a Big 10 Snoozer of Iowa/Rutgers
Ranked Matchups
17 Texas Tech at 16 Utah
22 Auburn at 11 Oklahoma
9 Illinois at 19 Indiana
Cheering against Miami not that I expect it will work but they have 10 of the Top 25 Wide Receivers in the Class of 27 visiting this weekend among other top players.
Interested to see how Tilane at 13 Ole Miss goes this weekend. Should be a good one.

Gundy is getting fired right?
If Tulsa stops trying to help them back in the game
Gundy and Napier have to be the top of the hot seat stack now.
I am more shocked by Iowa scoring 21 points
Make that 31 now but still may not be enough
Well Rutgers handing them the ball helps. 38 should be enough.
Odd fact.... the Iowa QB is now 52-6 in college as a starting QB. He went 49-6 at South Dakota State and is now 3-0 at Iowa making him the winningest QB is college football history passing Kellen Moore. Moore however did all his at the FBS level.
Yeah but did Iowa St QB beat the hokies? Nope checkmate!
Tulsa lucky to not get an unsportsmanlike there for taunting. Defender did it right up in the WR face.
OK St WR needed to stop there and force the PI
Wow Tulsa blatant PI no call. Game changing no call. Defender running with full hand of jersey.
Oof that Ok St QB doing his best Drones imitation on that 4th down to basically end the game. Skipped the pass to a guy with no defender within 10 yards
Why would you do that Tulsa? Pooch punt out of bounds not give Ok St ball at 40
I am actually very interested in the Miami-UF game. I know that as a good old Hokie I'm not supposed to want Miami to win, but I would love to see them run UF off the field.
I am torn between Go ACC and Da U has a huge recruiting window so screw them....so let Miami win 2-0 with no receivers catching passes and that can be it.
I'm absolutely pulling for Miami over Florida.
I pull for anyone playing the SEC
Looking forward to Texas Tech at Utah, which is a 10 am kickoff for them. What a terrible decision
Syracuse up 10 - 0 on Klempson
You
hatelove to see it.Curious, are there any rumors of Dabo being on the hot seat? I've been pretty checked out this year, but man Clemson has fallen far.
If they rack up a third loss before October 1st I'm sure his seat will gain some heat.
I mean they'll win next week i assume. I think Dabo has time because lots of fans remember the 90s still. However, Dabo is delivery crazy speeches like the world is out to get him so he might just do something that ends his time there.
Clemson is now down 17 and just punted back to Syracuse
The same Syracuse that barely beat UConn
And people said those sprints were performative. Clearly they helped give Cuse the extra motivation to beat clemson /s
Maybe it was motivation to get them to remember to fake an injury when they are supposed to...,,
ACC fines Syracuse $25,000 for faking injuries in win over Clemson
Klempson makes it 24-14 but left Syracuse over a minute to work with before halftime
Maryland is up 20-0 on Wisconsin at halftime.
Now don't get me wrong. I hate Maryland.
But I hate Wisconsin more...
Ended up 27-10, amidst chants of "Fire Fickell".
Yeah, that's a failed experiment at this point. Wisconsin seems to be trending backwards season to season. Would imagine he's gone this year depending on his buyout.
No, Luke is a wonderful coch who deserves a multi year extension. I would like for him to have a Mike London level contract from now until forever so that I can continue to enjoy the Wisconsin team.
Klempson game delayed for second time this season
Well..may have another Coaching candidate to chew on: Luke Fickell.
Not looking good for him with a pretty awful performance against MD in a 2/3 full Camp Randall.
Really shows its hard to predict coaching success. Fickell seemed like as sure a thing as there could be.
Angelli (Cuse starting QB) looks like he popped his achilles on a run. Non contact injury and immediately grabbed at the back of his leg. Put 0 weight on it coming off the field
Won't help Klempson but agree, think his year is done watching that
Torn Achilles confirmed, out for the year
Tarholes down 13-0 to UCF. Davi Belfort enjoying his team from the sideline.
Now FSU game in a delay. They were up 35-7 at halftime though.
Notre Dame got weather delay with like 1:30 left in the 1st half.
Turns out it bothers me a lot less if it doesn't affect the VT game coverage.
Wolfpack gifting Duke the ball to give up the lead right before the half. 2nd interception for Pack today.
Duke blocked a chip shot FG to keep the lead at 9 in the 3rd. Been an entertaining game so far
And Duke upsets the Wolfpack! A little hope for next week (emphasis on little).
Tulane down 20 to Ole Miss guess they are more pretender than contender
Now 45-3 woof
Maybe Sumrall is just losing focus because he agreed to be the next coach of Virginia Tech?
lol one can dream
heels getting smoked...make that schooled
Their defense is BAD. And who is the DC? Hmmmmm
Completely don't get Gio Lopez starting.
Max Johnson clearly seems to run the offense better.
I'm not sure anyone on that Staff is actually very good.
So hoping Nebraska can pull an upset on Michigan. But suddenly the Nebraska defense can't tackle.
I haven't seen Hard Rock Stadium full like that for a Canes game in a really long time
It's a good crowd every year until they lose their first game, then it looks like Lane North.
WVU getting blasted by Kansas early in the 3rd. 27-3
Power of a good coach.
I don't like the Apple Cup and Civil War games being played today. Thede games should be during rivalry week at the end of the season.
Wahoos blowing the doors off Stanford
If the hoos are winning, but no one is in the stands to see it, did it really happen?
LOL- we were driving past Hoovillle on the way back to Richmond and saw the temp highway message boards 'warning' about heavy gameday traffic...
from the acc site box scores:
VT vs Wofford noon kickoff - 0-3 team against a team whose entire student population is approximately 1650 students-knew it was a small school but holy cow)- attendance 57K+
UVA vs Stanford - Saturday night game- 2-1 team against Stanford- attendance-just over 37k
additional note- since i got VT-UVA tickets direct from their box office, I am on a mailing list for them, Got an offer for 2 tickets for $95 for next week's Friday night matchup against FSU- said it was in an effort to 'pack Scott Stadium....
Indiana beating up on Illinois as we're approaching the half. 28-7. I also didn't realize that Illinois was up to 9th ranking
"Was"
Hoosier going full gas. 42-10 now. Almost worse than our Vandy game. Illinois has barely had a competitive moment in this one. If it was a bunch of turnovers maybe it's understandable but that hasn't been the case.
Every time I look over, it's Indiana breaking another 10, 15, 20, 40 yard play. Illinois is going to free fall and Indiana will shoot up in the rankings.
Just beat the absolute brakes off of Illinois. 63-10 is not what you expect to see on a 9 v 19 matchup from 2 teams in the same conference.
Feel like there may be a lot of jobs open this season.
There were so few last season... Yea it's going to be a wild one this year.
Something like 25 is the average
Baylor-Arizona State has been very entertaining. Lot of back-and-forth even though only 20 points scored at the half. 10-10.
There's still a lot of football left to be played this season, but Venables has the OU defense looking like those Clemson defenses, and now that he has a capable QB, they look like they are on the right track. Good example of a situation where it's worth giving a guy some time. Lincoln Riley did not leave that cupboard full.
Coming into P2 money didn't hurt!
scar, and sellers especially, looks like fools gold
Why? Its 20-18 Scar at end of 3Q. Sellers is 14 for 19 for 284 yards passing with 2 TDs. Only knock is he has taken a few sacks.
Florida showing signs of life, scored a TD to get within 6 and now intercepted Beck at midfield.
Welp Da U may have just sealed it there
Baylor just scores with 2 minutes to go to make it 24-24. Worried Frosty is going to get an ulcer, but this has been a great game to watch.
It's been kind of a crazy back and forth
Sparky squeaked it out
Rough night for him. That late hit was pretty weak too. Likely cost them the game in regulation. Although they might have still lost then or in overtime. But it was still a pretty soft hit to call a late hit on late in the 4th.
South carolina looked bad again. They also got the vaunted double number penalty
qed
throw money at cignetti
get him the biggest house on claytor lake
do it now
We can't afford him now
Especially since Alabama will likely poach him.
Vandy is pummeling poor GA State. 70 to 21. Crazier part is GA State leads in TOP by like 3 minutes. Pavia with 245 yards on 18 completions. The crazy part is how spread out the stats are. Highest individual rusher is 60 yards and highest receiver is 48 yards on 577 yards of offense. 12 different receivers with a catch.
Well Vandy can't have one person do too much because they're all like 30 years old...
And FFFFF Vandy forever.... will savor them getting pummeled in the SEC after reading this.
lol that is kinda funny tho. gotta respect the troll-job
Agreed. You don't want people making fun of you, then don't let them beat you two years in a row or at all.
Wayne Matthews from Michigan State (previously 3 yrs at ODU) got ambulanced out of the Coliseum. I had stepped away, but sounds like he collided head to head with another MSU player
Colorado State had a touchdown scored by a guy named Rocky Beers. Amazing. Also Tahj Bullock (former Hokie) came in and wasn't able to complete the 2 point conversion try after CSU took the tying point off the board to try and win in regulation. Offside on the PAT. 17-16 UTSA
Im what happened to Cal? They had wins over Oregon St and Minnesota so I thought they were decent, and decent trans dont get destroyed by San Diego state
EDIT: decent team
That's quite a typo lmao
LOL
those sdsu boys will get after ya!
They're surgical in execution
Enjoying my first cup of coffee this morning and seeing everyone realize how badly Bret Bielema had a lot of people tricked into believing Illinois was anything other than their usual selves.
Did anybody else see that Syracuse has supposedly been fined $25K for fake injury timeouts against Clemson. My response if I was Syracuse would be "prove it" and refuse to pay.
This was new, put in this season because of how this issue was perceived last season. I believe all schools agreed to it being a video review process by a committee and subject to the ruling of the committee so don't think they have much room to contest it.
like Clemson's never faked an injury
They all do it and let's be honest, they aren't going to stop for a $25K fine. Not enough teeth to matter
