I can't stream CW channel so I'm not going to be able to watch. Not worth the effort to actually find a way to watch. Replay should be on ESPN like they were last year.
I beat the same drum and I shouldn't have to. The only feed I have for CW is Dish and they get it from WAVY TV and they are showing Judge Judy reruns. Not hyperbole, that's what's on. I get to listen.

Might be a long night for our boys. With multiple starting players missing from the defense, from an abysmal 1-3 team, we will see less talented and experienced players trying to "fill the gaps" of already bad players. NCSU doesn't play great defense, although we will certainly make sure that entire unit looks like an all ACC unit, but they can score a lot of points.
I can't see a scenario where this is even close.
This might be more painful than than anything we have ever seen with this program... until the GT game... and the Miami game after that.
We just got our shit pushed in by ODU. There's nothing NC State can do to top that.

I can't tell if I really like him or if the difference from an actual Head Coach vs what Pry was offering is so drastic that he seems better than he is. So far I have been impressed

Agree 100%, although if he beats a team akin to 2007 Oklahoma with THIS roster, we would have to give him strong consideration. Who knows what he could be capable of if he gets to pick his staff and his players.
I can already see the Facebook comments if Monty rattles off a couple of wins. I don't want to condescend, but there will be a contingent of... let's say shortsighted fans, who will be upset when we cut Monty loose, because they cannot see past the current weekend and cannot conceive of a longer, larger vision for Hokie football.
Just pure emotion, always. Hokies win = me feel good = don't touch anything! we're winning! = hire Monty full time. We can't afford that. And I suspect that this sort of mindset has plagued leadership at Tech too.

Not trying to rain on any parades, however I personally need to see more than a victory (albeit a nice win which I enjoyed and appreciate) over NC State which has an absolutely horrid defense.
I also know Montgomery was and will be short handed the rest of the way out so any additional wins will be significant. That being said, we cannot follow up the good PR we are enjoying with the news of the upgraded funding commitment by then handing the reigns over to Montgomery.

This weekend their were two ACC matchups with teams with suspect defenses. Virginia won their game, and we found a defense on the drive there.
If we only win these two games: Thank you. You made something out of nothing.
If he gets us a bowl game: Thank you, that was amazing! You're going to do great wherever you get hired.
If he gets us to the ACC Championship: Wow, what a turnaround, you're in the conversation for sure.
If he gets us to the playoff: Top of the pile. The next guy better be Nick Saban working for free or something
