Our schedule is brutal. We miss getting almost every bad ACC team. No Stanford, No BC, No UNC, No Syracuse....Wake is about only one in bottom quad that we face.

We can get this W today. GT's ranking looks intimidating considering our current state, but GT still only beat Wake by 1. They seem to not be great against the run so hopefully we can exploit that and really do some damage. Just can't fall behind so much that we have to go pass-first!

Virginia Tech went 10-2-1 the year before Frank Beamer took over from Bill Dooley, the winningest coach in VT history before Beamer. Dooley established a winning tradition at VT. Brent Pry did not.

No personal foul on #14 for a hit to the helmet. And then an obvious late hit out of bounds.
Targeting is only a penalty when the wind is blowing from the northwest or Southeast.
Its literally the most random enforcement ever.. and it's doing nothing to protect players.
Either make it a standardized call or get rid of it if you're too stupid to enforce it
Probably not eligible to be called at GT against GT when the play is stopped by going out of bounds.
Also doesn't help that the ACC replay crew treats us like we are still in the Big East.

When Drones was scrambling and he was kind of tied up, another guy came by and hammered him - it looked like it was a hit to the head. Even if it wasn't definitively targeting, I'd argue Drones wasn't going anywhere, so pretty much defenseless, so the guy hammering him, I feel like, should have been targeting or just a personal foul.
I have been so underwhelmed so many times that this team is practically burrowing a trench beneath my whelm now.

The offense showed up in the 2nd Half and looked pretty decent until Drones derailed them.
The D...they couldn't stop anything. GT ran wide to their right with almost no resistance and when that didn't work, they ran the Rutgers play with impunity.
The cherry on top was Stu's ST punting the ball away from coverage, giving them a 30+ yard return.

The shot near the end of the two guys laughing was telling. I didn't play sports at the college level, but I've always been competitive - I fucking HATE losing. Not seeing much of that on the sideline. Like Shoresy said - they don't hate to lose.
Not that I think it would happen, but if I were any one of the coaches and I caught that they would be running prints until they throw up. That doest mean each kids runs until they throw-up, it means they all keep running until everyone has thrown-up. And even then, they aren't seeing the field until the 2nd half of the next game.
