Surprise! The Hokies won another football game, help me out and share what you want to see in GIFTORY.
As a reminder, I a description, quarter and game time helps me easily find the clips. ESPN's play by play has a lot of that info: https://www.espn.com/college-football/playbyplay/_/gameId/401754372.

Drones willing himself into the End Zone in OT.
Takye Heath TD
Both?
Drones two point conversion
Love 52 yarder
Hawkins bulldoze sequence, would be multiple 2-3 second clips linked together. That may be tuff to do, but would look cool.
Bells game winning sack and forced fumble with about 3-4 min left in the 4th quarter
Hawkins's 20-yd run (1st Q), 34-yd run (3rd), 24-yd run (4th Q)
Ironically:
The "Stu Holt Special Teams Trifecta" of the second quarter - Kick Off catch and out of bounds at the 1, false start on punt, and punt block
The "Ref bet mortage on Cal Trifecta" in 4th and OT - Roughing the Passer (to tie the game late), Targeting overturned 1 (which would have given Cal a chipshot FG for win), Targeting overturned 2 (which would have bailed Cal in 2nd OT).
That beautiful sack fumble that the refs got wrong
Monty pumping up the crowd in OT
Second
Roughing the passer.... Still looking for it so I can't give you a timestamp.
Had to look that play up. Someone had it on YouTube. How much were the refs paid to call that? I mean, what?!?
The take outs that were not targeting....
Every time VT ran the RPO/read option with the TE lead.
Isn't that just the game replay?
Cal fans now refer to this as the Virginia Tech play!
Hawkins running for daylight.
Any will do, but I like the one with 11:46 left in the 4th qtr.
Drones running touchdown in overtime.
Hawkins shaking his head with surprise not realizing there was a defender to tackle him on his breakaway run!
In fairness to him, I also don't know where that guy came from lol. I was like "wait, did he just come off the bench to make that play?!?"
I saw him and was like why aren't you running away? then I screamed at Hawk to hit him a la Quincey Wilson and Brandon Merriweather, and then he just didn't see him
I saw it coming and thought, fumble in 3, 2 , 1...
Since I did not see any of it, I'll take anything you choose to post and be happy with it.
You get what you get and you don't get upset.
Or as my daughter learned in daycare here in NC, "You git what you git and you don't pinch a fit."
I'm pretty sure it's "pitch a fit" and not "pinch a fit" but, of course, classic NC to get that wrong
source - I currently live in NC and they get LOTS of stuff wrong
definitely is 'PITCH' a fit-not 'pinch'
It is, and that's what they were saying, but my daughter being 2 or 3 at the time, came home saying pinch a fit. So that's what we say now.
fair enough
I remember when I was small and trying to learn the word Ambulance and I said am-blee-ance and my mom and sister thought it was adorable and encouraged me to continue saying it that way whereas my dad and brothers thought I should learn the correct way and then I got confused.
When my son was little (decades ago) he would say "Pinchburg" Steelers. We enjoyed that one for as long as possible.
For any one who lived in Richmond from 1970s to early 2000s and knew the family grocery chain Ukrops-my daughter at that same age of 2-3 would say 'it should be We-krops cause it's not you that goes there- it's ALL of us'
She was a precocious child, lol.
I worked at a Ukrops store while in high school. I was always treated well, and Bobby Ukrop (a VP at the time) knew and said hello to all of us by name (in one of 10 or 11 stores at that time, which eventually grew to 28 to 30).
I worked at the Patterson Ave location from 1982-86. Knew Bobby and Jim and their son Scott. Also met the founder Joe at the company picnic at their farm in Varina. Great folks and really miss that store!
My father's nickname now is "Beepa", because my oldest would mispronounce "Grandpa". At the time, TV was "beevee" and Wonder Pets were "bee pets". /shrug
He wanted something like "Grandaddy Mac" because it would be (somewhat) unique, and we said f that, that's too much for a toddler to say, so we told her his name is "Grandpa", which he hated. Turns out he got the unique name he wanted, and loves it.
Must be a phonetic learning thing... my almost two-year-old pronounces Grandpa as Boppy.
Kamari Copeland sacks. Two of them were monster.
1Q 15:00
3Q 2:44
The coach (?) urging the Tech ballcarrier on by running along the sideline windmilling his arm with a towel. I think it may have been more than once but at least - 1st Quarter, 10:21
The Tech touchdown in the 4th Quarter at 07:11
The touchdown and two-point conversion in the second OT
Clip 3 from French's write-up where Uluave see Drones with the ball and runs away scared.
