The Ladies host Loyola Maryland Nov 9 at 2 PM in Cassell. The game is on ACC Network extra. Loyola is 0-2 with losses to Maryland 99-33 and LaSalle 105-53. The ESPN predictor gives the Hokies a 99% chance to win.
The Loyola team:
They are a mature team, starting 2 grad students, a senior and 2 juniors. Almost everyone on the team has played in their two blowout losses. They are shooting 33% overall and 19% from beyond the arc and only 52% on free throws. They are led in scoring by 6'1 forward Lex Therien with 14 ppg; no one else is close to double figures. They average 25 TOs and 11 assists per game.
This looks like another game for Coach Duffy to play a lot of people and try out different schemes and groupings.

In garbage time in game one she had to be helped off the court limping a bit. Shouldn't have still been in. Not sure if that's the issue.
Story I heard at the game was she banged heads with an opposing player late in the game. No idea what the actual reason is.
That could be, I watched it live and she definitely had to be helped off the floor. Concussion protocol would make sense. Definitely missed her today.
