If the Franklin rumors are true (and it sure seems that way)...these next three games are an audition to be on the roster next year. I'm sure a lot of these guys would want to play for Franklin and not get dog-walked.
What do you guys think?

We crush FSU β> FSU fires Norvell β> FSU steals JF
May have to worry about SCar entering that conversation more than F$U
Can't believe they lost that game!
Watching the second half, I'm not sure who was playing the first
Brutal year for Shane. Preseason playoff contenders to... whatever this is
(Spiderman meme) 2024 VT - 2025 SCAR
I hope these guys are putting maximum effort in. They should probably be treating it as a tryout regardless.
I would love for us to win out and ruin everyone's season. Especially uva
I honestly think that if the team put forth a real effort in practice this week and plays hard, we have a decent chance. FSU has shown that they fold up and die when facing adversity and I can see them quickly throwing in the towel if we get ahead. But, I guess we will see.
Coach Montgomery has been able to keep the the team motivated. I think they play hard today; but don't know if they can beat FSU at home.
11+Zebra = F$U
We need to summon whatever Willie Taggart Surrender Cobra juju we can!
Welp. You got your answer, haha.
Effort isn't the problem.....
Can't wait for this season to end. Looking forward to a fresh start.
The team comes out ready to play every week. They have the talent to compete and win against most of this schedule. The problems are:
1. Number 1 - horrific QB and I think the team has lost faith in him/loses faith as the game goes along and can't get anything going. I am looking forward to him being done at the end of the year more than anything.
2. Self-inflicted penalties
3. Power run type offensive personnel, Air Raid ass coach
4. A "SPECIAL" teams coach I want fired into the sun
He has done his best to destroy a proud tradition.
Yeah Monty's playcalling/pass tendencies certainly aren't helping. To be fair it was a bad scheme fit altogether with this personnel, but we fired our HC after 3 games so imagine that.
In fairness to Drones, I think he's criminally misused. He's not a drop back passer but he's a big athlete with some fight in him. If we didn't keep trying to make him into the passer he just clearly isn't I think he would be able to move this offense more and score enough to win some games. The coaching isn't doing him any favors
Also to be fair to Drones, who did we have working with him to improve the passing? QB development has been an issue here for as long as I can remember. Best example is Hendon Hooker leaving here and becoming Heisman contender at Tennessee. Pry's staff was no better at QB development than Fuente.
Its especially frustrating considering how important the QB position is to this game.
Agreed. He's also criminally underdeveloped. He's barely worked with a real qb coach in 4/5 years of college ball.
A competent offensive staff would have developed him into a pure read option QB where every play you are forcing the defense to pick the RB or QB to tackle, and if you sell out to stop that, there's a slant being run right behind the 8 man front to pop pass over their heads.
With our RBs, we would have one of the best run games in the country. But no, we think he can be a pocket passer
Idk what games you guys have been watching but that is what they have tried to do. He has barely been attempting any passes ror most of the season and usually when we had a stupid penalty that got us behind the sticks
That was after Pry left
I think this might be the primary offensive set, but Drones only makes the right read of the DE about half the time. I agree about the lack of any sort of easy pass to make the defense pay for selling out in the run.
Maybe I'm misremembering but didn't KD say he wanted to be in the pocket more to pump up his abilities as a passer for the next level?
Or maybe someone guessed at that and it become a pseudo-fact.
Guessed at and pseudo-facted
Legit Q: Does Drones get drafted as a TE?
He's a worse version of Jerod Evans. No.
man think of all the drops wed have if we had Evans, he'd ball out and throw a lot of great balls that wouldn't be caught
Evans was a better passer than drones but he was also bailed out a lot by Ford, Hodges and Phillips
Evans put the ball where only his guys could get them, that area is way larger with Phillips, Ford, and Hodges, but he still put them where they needed to be.
somebody might try him on practice squad as TE but, they'll have to teach him how to carry the ball.
Good effort from the RB and OL (I know the offense sucks, but they are so so so much better than last year on OL.)
Everyone else was putrid. Even guys who have been good all year like Copeland.
Should Franklin try to retain Moore?
Unless he hires somebody better.
