FSU with the most Skippy play ever...get a 3rd down stop, force punt, punt hits FSU guy in back of helmet and bounces all the way back to original line of scrimmage where the NC State punter recovered his own punt

Had a chance on next 3rd down to intercept the ball but drops it with two hands on ball...and follow that up on next punt, the returner fumbles fair catch to give NC State first down at FSU 12 yard line
Given up almost 4 minutes of clock, now going to have to use all 3 timeouts on defense and if they give up TD after two straight stops that's likely game over.
Feel really bad for the defense.

HOW DO YOU MUFF BACK TO BACK PUNTS AND LOSE BOTH OF THEM?! LMAO where was this FSU when we played them? That second muff makes up for the missed facemask

Hokies are only team to beat NC State at home this season. If they beat UNCheat next week, it may eliminate UNC from bowl possibility but UNC would have to beat Duke tomorrow or Belipuke will already be eliminated.
FSU at Florida next week with their bowl hopes on the line. Florida Puke Bowl....5-5 vs 3-7

VT's win at Raleigh is the difference between a pretty good season for Doren and a relatively disappointing one. Assuming state beats unc next weekend.

Big Blue looking good. Goes for it on 4th and goal (I was yelling, just kick the FG, so good they didn't listen to me) and punches it in to go to halftime 31-14.
Bulldog, bulldog, bow, wow, wow!
Harvard does score lots of points, so I'm really glad we got that last score. Guessing Harvard will put up plenty of points in the second half.

#1 Cyclones! 38-14 over Kansas for one of my teams.
#2 Bulldog, bulldog, bow, wow, wow! Up 45-28 with 2 minutes to, about to share the Ivy League title, ruin Harvard's undefeated season and claim the Ivy League's first ever FCS playoff bid.
#3 VT ... well, 2 out of three ain't bad.

Its honestly a great idea though from the SEC perspective. Get all your teams locked in to playoff spots early and just move up when the other conferences commit fratricide too late to recover. Most really good teams shouldnt need 4 OOC games to start the year to get ready for conference play. Especially since by this weekend most student bodies have gone home.
...as long as you don't lose to insert cupcake.

I'm never against on purpose scheduling garbage games past week 1. I get the strategy but it's stupid and only works in your favor if the media backs you.

This whole week he has done a bunch of stuff supporting Paterno. Think he is trying to get the job and that fanbase still is mostly blind to Paterno's role. Don't want to admit it to themselves. Quoted stories about Paterno in several interviews, even broke down crying in one.

Yeah I have PSU coworkers π and one of them tried to convince me that Smith is a serious candidate for that job. We both had a good laugh, well at least I did.

Salty Narduzzi may have actually skipped planning for Notre Dame last week and prepped for GT instead. Pitt is already up 21-0 after the first quarter.

I think we would have to beat UVA, SMU would have to lose to Cal and Pitt would have to lose to Miami at home next week for this to even be possible. If GT somehow comes back, they have clinched and even with a loss may still win tiebreaker over Miami. A GT clinch though I believe eliminates Miami as they lost head-to-head to SMU.

So SMU (barring a collapse at Calβbtw, what happened to them??) will be in the ACC title game, and their opponent depends a lot on what happens in Charlottesville next week.
Which ACC combination will produce the lowest ranked matchup? Asking for some G5 friends.
Log in or register to post comments about the Virginia Tech Hokies
Depends on if Pitt gets ranked this week after beating Georgia Tech. If they beat Miami too, then it will be a toss up on Pitt or UVA if they both win next week. SMU by beating Louisville may also move into the rankings this week as they were #28 SMU and #30 Louisville by the Receiving Votes from last week.
It gets really convoluted if we beat UVA, Miami beats Pitt and SMU loses to Cal. There would be five ACC teams with two conference losses and Miami might be the only ranked team left in that scenario.

Always love some Tuesday MACtion
Just as the announcer says Western Michigan loves to run, they throw a ball that gets batted up for a pick.
NC State and FSU like watching a badminton game...just bad offense on both sides.
NC State nearly put me to sleep with a nine minute drive after getting FSU 3 and out to start the second half.
If Castellanos could throw an accurate deep ball FSU would have 5 or 6 TDs tonight. He keeps underthrowing every time.
OMG THAT PUNT MUFF! I've never seen anything like that ever before

They used whatever juju they had left against us
We had a better success rate than them last week. If they had muffed a couple punts and dropped an interception we would've had a chance.
Don't forget, just after that game their coach DIDN'T get fired, and we got the coach we wanted.
Now NC State trying to get a penalty for their LED light show.
Comical...suck it F$U
Was waiting for FSU to fumble that squib kick.
College kickers lol
What an absolute special teams disaster by FSU
STU-pid might be able to get the job at FSU...
Special teams was at least a 13 point swing in this game for FSU
Does FSU have the alignment to pique Franklin's interest when they fire norvell tomorrow?

Very few things in this world are sweeter than ruining Harvard's undefeated season BOOLAH BOOLAH
UAB player apparently stabbed 2 of his teammates before the game. Guessing that will not help the Blazers in their game against USF

Every single Beck highlight shows no defender within 5 yards of him.
Not looking good for Syracuse so far. Down 21-0 five minutes in. Ooof
After they lost their starting QB Angeli, they have been a dumpster fire. 49 - 0 at the half.
Started 3-1, 0-6 since and might as well call it 0-7.
ACC Toilet Bowl next week has them hosting 1-10 BC.
Live look at the ND vs. Syracuse
They scored 21 points before their offense got on the field
One of those TDs was a pick 6 by Jalen Stroman. I didn't even realize he wound up at ND.
Can ND break triple digit points?
Good to see some powerhouse matchups this time of the year like:
Alabama v directional Illinois
Auburn v Mercer
Clemson v Furman
USC v Coastal
A&M v Samford
LSU v W Kentucky (lol they might actually lose this)
Its honestly a great idea though from the SEC perspective. Get all your teams locked in to playoff spots early and just move up when the other conferences commit fratricide too late to recover. Ehhh Notre Dame let them score, bar them from the Playoffs.
70-7 with starters sitting almost entire second half
Penn State interim wearing a giant JOE-409 button (for Paterno's 409 career wins)
That seems like a questionable decision to me
This whole week he has done a bunch of stuff supporting Paterno. Think he is trying to get the job and that fanbase still is mostly blind to Paterno's role. Don't want to admit it to themselves. Quoted stories about Paterno in several interviews, even broke down crying in one.
On r/CFB a lot of Penn State flairs are pumped about it so I'm sure it plays well with part of the fan base
But yeah, not a choice I'd have gone with
Penn State and blind to others actions? Never
Yeah I have PSU coworkers π and one of them tried to convince me that Smith is a serious candidate for that job. We both had a good laugh, well at least I did.
Utah was down 10 and has come back to take a 4 point lead with under a minute to go.
Salty Narduzzi may have actually skipped planning for Notre Dame last week and prepped for GT instead. Pitt is already up 21-0 after the first quarter.
GT, what is you doing?
28-0 Pitt over GT
If Miami ends up in the ACC championship, so help me
I think we would have to beat UVA, SMU would have to lose to Cal and Pitt would have to lose to Miami at home next week for this to even be possible. Penn State and Nebraska is chippy for some reason. Refs are going to get someone hurt swallowing their whistles
PSU beating the doors off Nebraska with Interim HC and backup QB with Matt Rhule on the opposite sideline.
Pat Kraft fired James Franklin to make a run at this.
Thanks for being a total duncecap, Pat!!
GT pass defense can't stop anything. It's insane
And Pitt missed a FG, got bailed out on an offsides call and missed the re-kick
...and GT is done.
#goACC strikes again.
Pitt says hold my beer, let's try to give it away with a ridiculous fake punt.

Ooo that sounds fun! LET'S DO THAT!
Speaking of running a lot and losing, check out Kansas State...
