Former basketball standout from Florida becomes Hokies' first TE pledge since 2023. Has 0 stars, but only started playing football 6 months ago.
Very cool and seems like he could be a stud, but my question is why? Why commit to a school so far away when you don't know who the coach will be? Maybe he knows it'll be Mullen and he's the next Kyle Pitts.

Either he knows who the new coach is, or he is real damn excited to wear maroon and orange. Also, given his background maybe this is a 2-sport pickup that is more for Mike Young than football, who knows
maybe it's just we are his only P4 offer and/or have him the highest offer so far. There is no point in speculation until he's signed and enrolled.
Jeff King, the Sequel
To be noted, he has three other offers. One of those is Southern Miss (Charles Huff), and the other is UNLV (Dan Mullen).
Dan Huff Hokies Head Coach confirmed!
I thought the new coach was Charles Mullen!
That is interesting. Thanks for looking that up!
Who is the third? That's the one that'll be our new coach.
lol..this is kinda true tbh
Man were we sweet summer children before Franklin was fired. lol
And I'm 1000% okay with that
I'm seeing 5 offers.
Sacramento State - Brennan Marion (Has previous William & Mary ties)
Jackson State - TC Taylor
Citadel - Maurice Drayton
The plot thickens...
Heck, I am excited for him as a basketball walk on. Might be good at football as well.
HUDL Profile
Watching these clips has good positioning but almost everything is as a wide receiver so curious how he handles blocking or running routes from a TE spot. Wouldn't mind him just being a wide receiver here if that is a better fit for his skill set.
Kyle Pitts, Bucky Hodges, and James Mitchell were all TEs that were actually receivers. He could be in that mold.
Depends on his glove size...
and if he's Gods Gift
Good frame, will be a beast
Kalvin Cline vibes?
Can he throw a football?
Can he play football? Given the state of our program, that would be enough for a scholarship.
Has he ever seen a football? That's good enough for me /s
Good Lord, what a difference five weeks can make.
can he play all 11 positions at once?
interview
How big are his gloves?
Per 24/7 he has reaffirmed his commitment to the Hokies under Franklin
Good, he could be legit. Basketball player to tight end pipeline.
Not sure what the total story is, but not signing tomorrow. Who knows if he'll stick throughout
Hope he does. We should take chances on athletes like these
