I'm not gonna lie. I'm really excited for the first time in years about our ability to convert on short yardage situations, especially with a back like Juice carrying the rock. That being said, I think it is within our offense's ability to run a Jumbo formation, similar to the one run at Stanford. Looking at the line, I see eight guys who could be the meat of the attack, add in a fullback and we got some smashmouth ability. Consider this formation:
Blockers:
McLaughlin (314 lbs)
Shuman (312)
Farris (303)
Taraschke (302)
Benedict (302)
Wang (298)
Conte (293)
Teller (296)
Rogers (215)
Ball Carrier:
Williams (224)
That's 2600+ lbs of blockers (compared to the 2650 projected combined weight of anOSU's starting defense) plus 220+ from a beast power back.
We could use Bucky out of a Jumbo Wildcat formation to add, what I believe, could be the lethal punch, and a first down, Hokies.

I like. This would certainly grind down a defence
Me likey too. I think it was Lombardi who would pick on a specific player from the opposing defense to wear him down. We could spend some early series using this on each play to send three or four guys in succession at a couple of OSU's linemen. Bam, then bam, then bam bam. We'll need to find an extra gear somewhere and this could be it.
Sub in Bucky for Rogers and you add 40+ lbs to that pile of beef!
I know subbing for Rogers is taking your life in your hands...but he may need to take a play off in order to refuel the diesel.
I think he had Bucky in as Wild Turkey QB already
This is like how BC ran against us late in the game. And it worked.
I say "why not?"
