Many thought that Ole Miss was the leader before this too. Good news.

what's interesting to me is that Clemson is the only team on that list with a proven offense. Sure I see good signs for our offense in the future but we're not there YET. I don't put a lot of stake in the opinions of E$ecPN "analysts" but I'm sure every "analyst" would say that Clemson is the only team out of those five with a competent offense. They would have a hard time arguing Florida but what's going to stop them?

But if Chad Morris gets a Head Coaching job than how proven is Clemson's offense? Things change every day.

did Chad Morris get a new job as a HC somewhere that I don't know about?

No but he was a finalist in at least three jobs this off season.

What does everybody think how this QB situation will end up? Motley starts, redshirt Ford or Durkin, both? Ford or Durkin starts, redshirt the other? Some decision is going to be made when I think someone redshirts, so I guess what I am saying, does VT really need to be in the market for a 2015 QB??

You forgot about Brewer.

I agree that our depth chart appears crowded; however, an injury, off-field incident, or unexpected transfer/withdrawal is always possible. It's never bad to be going after new talent in college football.

A decade on TKP and it's been time well spent.

I thought the logic was you took at least 1 QB every year. Also are you really complaining about having too many options at QBs? when was the last time VT had that problem?

Not complaining at all haha, always a good problem to have. And I agree with injuries and all. I just don't see both Ford and Durkin both redshirting this year, leaving one of the being a redshirt freshman next year with the assumption that 2016 would be the year to go after another top QB prospect. BUT if we do land some stud Qb for 2015, I will not be complaining. Just my .02

If I had to put money on it, I'd say brewer

I agree. I don't think he would transfer into a near-saturated QB situation unless he had a good feeling (and had maybe been told so) about winning the starting job.

Brewer starts, Leal backs up and starts some too, motley transfers or moves positions, ford heir apparent ( unless we find someone better this recruiting cycle), Durkin plays TE and some silly wild turkey nonsense to stalk drives.

Durkin won't change positions. He didn't bail on MSU to come to VT and change positions. He'll get his shot at QB and I think Loeffler will use him in a similar fashion to LT3

with 5 QBs on the roster for fall, it's almost a given that unless Ford or Durkin stand out enough to get playing time that they will both redshirt... you figure if a 2015QB redshirts, he would be eligible to play 2016 - with Leal and Brewer both gone by then that would make it less crowded .... but his top 5 all seem to have one thing in common - uncertainty at the QB position, he may just be looking for his best option to play early, who knows

We need to be in the QB, O-Line and D-Line market every year.

Also CB, LB, RB, WR, P, K, FB, TE...

You get linemen from Piggly Wiggly, and you get skill positions from Wegman's.

At least he gave LOLUVA what I assume to be argyle.

You can never have too many TEs.

We put the K in Kwality

Looked him up.... He's a 3* dual threat according to 247 and their composite.

Unless he's a total diamond in the rough, I'm not sure how he'd fit on this roster with the players we already do have.

Agreed

Fortune Favors the Bold

can we switch a QB to TE and then switch him to O-line???? :D think about how awesome an o-line of TEs would be!!

/sarcastica, just in case....
