Nice.
This is the correct direction.
How does he go from 4 π prospect to no transfer ranking at all? 247 overwhelmed by the portal.
On3 has him as 89.33 3 π
On3 profile
Well, he dropped a star because he transferred to Tech.
They don't rank everybody in the portal, they never have. And they also have a hard time ranking guys who've never played in college.
I'd say redshirting and good luck to recruiting services trying to rate all 4500 entrants in say 24 hours is the issue
Blue chip ratio is climbing fast.
Official blue-chip ratio doesn't include transfers, only what you recruited out of high school. But the effective blue-chip ratio, which isn't a clear calculation is definitely on the rise.
Blue chip vibes are rising.
well then, blue chip ratio needs an update. With the frequency of transfers these days, it should be based on who is actually on the roster starting the season, not who recruited them out of HS
I don't disagree, but I think the difficulty of evaluating transfer portal additions is what's holding that back.
That's not really the point of the bluechip ratio (or the 247 composite).
If you want to understand the talent on the roster each season, you need to regrade every kid every year.
The bluechip ratio defines a minimum threshold for winning a national championship. So far, no one has won a natty with a sub-50% BCR.
The blue chip ratio is a metric on who has a chance to win a national championship, and title teams are still coming from programs that prioritize elite high school recruiting, develop and retain most of that talent and fill gaps with the portal. The blue chip ratio will never include transfers nor in my opinion should it
Welcome home
Awesome! Now let's get Soloman Williams from TA&M.
he already committed ... not to us
Sad. 247 must be running behind as I checked before posting. Thanks.
Committed to ACC powerhouse Cal
Weird. He reposted a bunch of stuff about his visiting us and has posted nothing about Cal on his titter.
Maybe that Cali money was better
But ya gotta pay those Cali taxes....
And high housing costs which also jacks up the price of everything else
Money moneys the same
I always get a kick out of the reference, but if anyone ever wants the scoop on "weights weigh the same". I can tell you about it, and even though it's been a laughing point about Whit, I don't actually blame him.
What's the scoop?
Yeah, now you have to write a whole post about it
Yeah, we gotta know...
The bumper plates were about $8-$9 per pound. If I remember correctly a 45 pound plate was about $365. Multiply that by the amount necessary for a football weight room and you're looking at 20-25 percent of the entire budget for the room.
The catch was that the weights were lifetime guarantee. However, the company that made the weights ended up going out of business soon after or possibly before the weight room was finalized.
But if you wanted to keep the room within a certain budget, that was the easiest place to start.
Yeah, this is no surprise.
Iron weight are specifically long lasting. There are no reasons, other than aesthetic to replace the bumper plates without individual specific failures.
