WBB host BC Noon Jan 11

The 12-4, 2-3 Ladies host 4-14, 0-5 Boston College at Noon on Jan 11. ESPN says 96.9% Hokies. Game will be on the ACC Network; Jenn Hildreth pep, Kelly Gramlich color. Evan Hughes on Hokie Sports. Short write up tonight from Orangeburg, SC on the way to Sarasota, FL tomorrow. I'll try to listen on Sirius radio.

BC has not been competitive in most ACC games this year. They did only lose to Pitt by three; but the other four losses were by 26 to 50 points.

The Hokies will have a height advantage in this one. BC has only one player over six feet that plays regularly.

Only #8 Carmody scores in double digits at 12.1 ppg; #2 McDaniel comes close at 9.8. They shoot 36.8% overall, 29.8% from three and 75,3% from the line. They have been outscored by 9.5 ppg, and outrebounded by 4 per game.

This is a game the Ladies should win easily. But who knows whether they can shoot well or hang onto the ball. Unless they play very poorly, the fans should get biscuits.

LET'S GO HOKIES!

Kayl Peterson is questionable after taking a kick to the head at Syracuse

Ain't that a hole in the boat

Reel men fish on Wednesdays

Thought I caught a glimpse of her on TV. Looks like she's got the racoon eyes. Must have broke her nose. It was a pretty brutal lick she took at syracuse.

Every team for BC is bad. What exactly does the athletic department spend money on??

Themselves.... putting that ACC money in their pocket and calling it a day

I hate that foul on Freelon. Ball was out of the shooters hands before Freelon touches her. Had no impact on her shot and had no effect on her landing

We should try to go inside every possession. We have the advantage there. Can always kick out when the defense collapses.

Replay looked bad. No contact. She landed, and it just buckled.

On the bench no boot. Hope that's good

Can we go two trips in either direction without a whistle?

I have really tried to refrain from trashing the refs for calls the last couple weeks but this crew seems to call breathing fouls.

It makes the game so hard to watch.

They just called a foul in Wenzel when she was two feet away from shooter.

It kills any kind of rhythm. We are now up to 44 fouls combined so if you looked at the box score you would think this was a real physical game but there have maybe been five really physical fouls in this game. This game isn't close to as physical as the Syracuse game and that game had 25 combined fouls.

A ton of walks off the pass

I would FAM but have four fouls

Hokies win the foul battle with a 26-22 edge. It was close but those last four minutes gave the Hokies just enough to take home the win.

48 fouls is ludicrous.

Welp! FAM for the ladies.
I had planned to watch the whole game but unexpected guests showed up midway of the second quarter. So reluctantly I turned it off and became a gracious host. After reading these comments, I'm glad I wasn't subjected to the 2nd half foul fest!
