Side thought: It would be interesting to learn more about portal rankings, but it seems clear that portal rankings (unlike HS rankings) are based on expected instant impact and not on potential. So, any RS freshman will be graded much lower than their HS ranking as their immediate impact is expected to be lower than a player that has 2+ years of starting experience.

Franklin and Spencer's edge acquisitions thus far fall into that category of high potential based on HS recruiting, but have RS. And we'll see how well it plays out, but I have a strong suspicion that these Hokies will be settling team records in Sacksburg.

Bruce must be smiling to see all this DE talent.
