I also think Ryan is going to be back up at 174 next season. I think that's a big reason he is redshirting this season. Because at 165. His gas tank isn't there. Especially at tournaments.
Desiante has another year if I'm not mistaken. Not sure how that factors in. If Burton does go 174 next season I think he is a step ahead of 2026 Desiante.
Yes Desiante has one more season after this. He redshirted in 2022-23.
Man as excited as I want to be next season, seeing the rankings this week is a gut check.
Penn State has the #1 Wrestler in SIX weights. The other four are a #3,#4 and two at #12. Just insane seeing it like that.

OT but I don't know where else to put it, Penn State over Nebraska last night for their 83 straight dual win.
Yeah they broke the national record a few weeks ago. This was their closest Dual of the season at 26-12. The only thing stopping PSU from another team title this year is a meteor strike on State College. This week they had six wrestlers ranked #1 in their weight class.

Yeah. Going to be tough there too. Ohio State and Oklahoma State are looking really good and more consistent across the weights. Bonus points will be a huge factor so need guys wrestling to score. More like Seidel than Eddie.
Bishop McCourt (Bo/Melvin) just won the District Team championship by winning 58-11, 57-9, and 55-13 in the finals.
Bassett 155 match winning streak faces Brandt Harer with 154 match winning streak Friday at 5pm in Pennsylvania State Quarterfinals
Match should be espn prime time must watch TV. Their records are ridiculous.
So apparently this match will not happen now. I dont know if Harer is technically forfeiting but his dad was on a podcast saying they want the individual state title more so dont want Bo to have a chance to learn what he is facing in tonight's dual so he wont wrestle Bo tonight. Harer's team probably running someone else out so its not a forfeit. His Dad is the head coach so he gets to make the call. I would be pissed if I was one of his teammates fighting for a State Dual Title.

Melvin Miller beat Nick Singer 3-2 and Bo Bassett beat Joe Bachmann 3-1 at State Dual Final but Bishop McCort lost again to Faith Christian Academy.
