Carini is the #7 recruit in the class of 27 and #1 recruit at 175 lbs.
Here is his State Semifinal match. Down 4-0 in the third he gets the takedown and then pin.

Carini finished third at this year's Super 32 at 175 lbs. His only loss was to the eventual champion in the semifinals.

Beat the number thirteenth ranked 175er in the country. Who beat the number two wrestler in the country at 175 in the semis
'26 and '27 is going to be something special for the Wrestling program, if we can keep the roster together.
Biggest challenge may be keeping Robie. Iowa smoke is out there. Hoping he is enjoying it here so much that a big offer wont sway him. Think his kids are done with school this year though, right?
Robie has another son at Christiansburg highschool. I assume he will wrestle for Tech. I doubt that Robie wants to deal with the circus in Iowa when he has built VT into a program that is on the verge of surpassing Iowa. For what it's worth, Whit Babcock is very aware of the Iowa situation and is highly motivated to keep Robie, Frayer, and the rest of the staff in Blacksburg. Wrestling is one of the most successful programs at Tech and will be a nice feather in his cap if he can get the football program humming with Franklin.
I thought Jake was graduating this year. He just won the Class 3 VA state title at 190 lbs two weekends ago and thought they said he was a senior. Is there a 3rd son?
According to his VT Bio "Robie and his wife, Jennifer, reside in Christiansburg with their three children – Nate, Luke and Jake." Normally kids are listed from oldest to youngest so Jake would be the baby of the family.

Someone on TSL said that class of 2027 wrestler Ladd Holman from Utah (Number 4 wrestler in the country at 190 pounds) He has a win over Carini at Doc B this year when Carini was up at 190. He is fast rising junior
