Let's Go!!
Hokies!
Miami won the lone regular season matchup with Stanford 66-51 in Coral Gables.
Cal won the lone regular season matchup with Wake Forest 61-52 in Berkeley
Georgia Tech won the lone regular season matchup with Florida State 80-69 in Tallahassee
Virginia won the lone regular season matchup with Clemson 73-63 in Charlottesville
Notre Dame defeated both Miami and Stanford, by 8 and 12 respectively.
Syracuse defeated both Wake and Cal, though needing 3 OT to beat Cal in Syracuse.
Virginia Tech defeated both Florida State and Georgia Tech, both by double figures.
NC State defeated UVA by 2 in OT in Charlottesville, but lost to Clemson by 10 at Clemson
Looking at Tech's path, they should be a clear favorite to win their Second Round matchup, regardless of opponent.
I'm hoping Tech can get revenge for the OT loss against UNC, especially if by then the refs learn what a charge and a backcourt violation are.
If the Hokies make it to the Semis, Louisville is a nightmare matchup. I don't see them losing to Syracuse or whomever wins Game 2. Their lone losses are against #1, #3, #17, #20, UVA, and Notre Dame. That being said....
If the Hokies make it to the Finals on Sunday against Duke, it would be fitting, asthe two teams were each other's conference opener.
I think we have a good shot against gt or fsu and i like our chances against unc rematch... After that....
