LET'S GO...
HOKIES!
Ugh... bad decision and worse throw. Should have been 2 down in the bottom of the 7th, instead it's an 11-6 hoo lead
Lost 11-6
Losing 9-5 in the 5th
10-5 in 8th
Lost 10-5
That is the eighth time in seventeen games the Hokies have allowed 10 or more runs this season.
I believe this loss also may have closed the Commonwealth Clash in Wahoo favor again.
Neither baseball or softball is having a particularly good weekend... did the players go on spring break with the rest of the student body this week?
Baseball actually up 3-0 so far today
Apparently Baseball only pitches on Sunday, every other day is how fast can they give up 10+.
Winning 6-1 in 7th now.
The inverse of Chick-fil-A perhaps?
6-3 in top of the 9th
Won 6-3
Nice. At least we've stole the Sunday games the last two weekends. Need to take a series at home against Duke or Stanford
2-4 vs a couple top 15 teams on the road... not ideal but it gives you opportunity to make a run at +.500 in league play
If it was the SEC, we'd be getting votes in the rankings for this weekend.
The problem though is how they are losing. Even if they manage .500 in ACC play, if they give up 10+ in almost every loss, the metric impact means they wont be a fringe NCAA Tournament candidate. It also hurts that they didnt build up wins in OOC. They basically were .500 in OOC because of who they decided to play.
The Hokies ERA is currently above 8. Its the second worst team ERA in the P4. They are like 260th of 300 D1 teams.
