All three coordinator contracts expire at the end of the month. Curious they haven't gotten anything done since Spring practice starts next week.

Maybe they are holding out for Cornelson or Stinespring?
Thanks for sharing. Because I don't live in VA, don't interact with whoos often, and find uva football pretty boring, I don't really pay attention to them at all. So this was pretty wild. Seems pretty wild. I wonder if this is a budget/reporting thing or if they have a handshake deal in place that they are waiting until last minute to announce? That would be quite unusual though.
Also in that article (emphasis mine):
Yikes...
"Yikes" indeed
HEY UVA
Most UVA grads I know fall into this bucket as well
Even the undergrads!

That did not get near enough press attention. Most schools would have suspended first with kicking him officially off the team after the inditement.
Woah, how the heck did we miss that?
I still see UVa people try and claim VT football harbors criminals. This little nugget is going to completely flip that narrative on its head.
And they did that just to lose to Duke
If true, I am amazed new jobs have not been announced for those coordinators elsewhere. I think in reality they have already been renewed but just not announced.
The author got a FOIA response with the contracts expiring at the end of the month. These contracts have to be disclosed as they are public employees technically. I think its much more likely the coordinators expect deals on par with what the Hokies just gave out, which would be an almost 100% raise for all three coordinators. Hopefully it gets sporty and public if they dont get it. The problem for the coordinators at this point is where are they going to go this year? They needed to press for their raises while coaches were moving.
So what you're saying is our actions, while completely minding our own business, caused hardship to UVA football.
Excellent.
LOL
Sounds to me like some dudes who didn't have agents didn't know what to do and got caught with their pants down.
Nah deals are done, just need to be approved in the next board session.
Their board isn't scheduled to meet until mid April
There you go
Would you be willing to start work knowing your contract has not been approved yet?
Honestly, with the amount I'd be getting paid - and that I had already been paid in prior years - I'd be willing to do it for at least a while. For just a modest-pay job or a place that I could see going bankrupt soon or if it dragged on for a long time, then no.
If the offer is signed and just needs to be stamped, yes
The author, Chris Graham, is a LOLUVA alum, and he seems to have a less-than great relationship with the powers that be in wahooland....see the two articles below. The orange and blue burr under his saddle seems to have created a crater of a saddle sore.

Coordinators coordinate the same.
