Kuol Atak (6-9, 192, r-So.) Is transferring in from Oklahoma
Averaged 7.0 pts, 1.3 reb this season in 12.4 mpg for the Sooners in 24 games. Shot 69.6% inside and 41.3% from three (43-for-104).
Curious if he was that productive why he wasnt getting more time. 7 points in under 13 minutes and not foul trouble seems like it would to led to a bigger role. Hopefully it translates here as a starter. Could be a 15-18 ppg guy if it does.

Fam?
He didn't get more time despite his production because even though he has good height, he's rail thin and gets abused defensively. Pretty much all his game is shooting 3s too so he's most productive when he's hot. But if the shot not there in a game, he doesn't really contribute much anywhere else. BUT, he's also VERY raw. To even be that productive from where he started was a good leap. He's a great kid for a team like us to take a chance on. If he were to make another leap like he did from pre-college to now, he could be a very good player.
crazy skinny; crazy range

Nuts- that shot at 40 second mark. Looks like a junior KG
I know I am the ultimate Iditarod and arctic nerd here, but when I read "Kuol Atak" I feel like this should be a native Alaskan village or a rocky outcropping on an Aleutian Island. I mean they have Adak and Attu and Kuol could be read as "cool".
hopefully we'll have a Kuol-ity Atak now
Very cool. We need all the shooters we can get.
His build gives me Shane Henry vibes.
I figured the low minutes had to do with stamina/durability issues and if he's built like a lamppost, that would make sense.
Hopefully we can get some mass to stick to him. My BiL had to eat 3500-4000 calories/day in college to get UP to 145...and that probably had more to do with the transmission he was holding at weigh-ins.
hopefully the campus tour walked him straight into D2
Anyone else see his name and think of this?

lmao, I was honestly about to go find a Mars Attacks gif for this thread
6'9 and can shoot the lights out. This is what Mike Young needs. CMY is at his best when he can let his guys run and gun and chuck up 3s.
CMY had a great lineup for "run and gun" this year and yet it didn't happen... because its not how he runs the offense.
Neo would have been much better in a fast-attack transition focused offense and really struggled to get into a flow with the structure that CMY wants in place on the offensive end. Kinda like the triangle offense Phil Jackson ran in Chicago... tough to master but lethal when great players master it (Bulls were also helped by a superstar who could bail out a stagnant possession individually). Big problem for CMY is that the roster turnover in CBB right now makes it really difficult to get a full team of contributors who are experienced and comfortable in the system.
