So far this is the best TE, RB, QB, DL class that I can remember. I hope these guys all work out for VT!
Seven composite 4-stars in this class, 2 of which are TEs. Only Miami and Clemson have more composite 4-star recruits and VT barely behind Clemson overall. This may be the year VT passes Clemson though, a lot of hype right now with Bourque now in the boat.
Hoping this weekend (and upcoming weekends) seal the deal for some of these recruits.
I forsee a lot of 2 TE sets in our future.
I know the joke is overused but he may need one or two to move into the QB room at the rate he's snagging blue chip TE croots
There is nothing wrong with a 2 TE set. If anything it makes power running easier.
Maybe we should bring back the I-formation with a TE lead blocker.
maybe even a 4 TE set so we can get half of them on the field at once
TIC I know, but if you have a back like Hawkins that can contribute to the running and catching game, and you have TEs that are versatile enough to block and catch, you can run a lot of plays from a handful of formations.
The Wild Turkey is gonna be a lot crazier looking.
Imagine you have your traditional 5 OL, with 250 lb Luke Reynolds, 251 lb Ja'Ricous Hairston, 242 lb Body Jones, 243 lb Matt Henderson lined up at a 5 TE front, with 230 lb Bill Davis taking the direct snap.
