Thought I had. My bad.

Never Forget #1 Overall Seed UVA 54, #64 UMBC 74

The picture they have of him looks like a basketball PF instead of an OL... Must be an old one lol

Danny is always open

Well, he is a bit skinny. 275lb but 6'7"

Edit: Speelink

This is going to be great for the ACC.

My favorite thing is when OL have ivy league offers 😀

You spelled "Indiana" wrong

Offer from Indiana means a ton, trust them in player evals over any other staff in the country.

That meant literally nothing until recently. Ivy League smarts on OL goes back a long time. Big uglies, not big dummies

I know I know lol I'm just playing/Cignetti-fan-boy-ing

More, more Peanuts dancers.

It still feels weird now that when we get a recruit, I check their offer list to see if Indiana was in on them.

A decade on TKP and it's been time well spent.

Awesome!

I'm staring at our class ranking of 9 now and can't believe it!

It's nice and all, but it's being propped up by early volume. I would rather have the 10 and 11 classes that have an average 1-2 points higher. My guess is we will start falling as the blue bloods start landing more players.

Plan for the worst and hope for the best, not the other way around.

You are correct. But our current average rating is 89.11, which would've been a top 20, if not top 15 average rating over the past three seasons. Id take that.

We're just waiting to add a 5* flip on signing day, duh

I'll take either after the last decade.

Agreed. Historically, a top 10 class has an average rating over 90 and generally at least 91-92.

Player ratings will go up a bit as the Recruiting websites generally up everyone ratings in their senior year. But I do agree that Franklin and VT will need to reel in some of the higher rated targets to stay in the top 10, and maybe even drop the lower rated recruits for some higher rated recruits as the roster maxes out. (I'm not suggesting that VT does that, just that if the goal is VT to be top 10, the lower rated recruits will need to have their rating elevated or be replaced with a higher rated recruit. And notably, OL recruits are rated lower on average than "skill" position recruits. If VT takes a 3-star OL recruit over a 4-star WR, I'm good with that.)

What I like about the class thus far is that not one of these guys is a "reach".
And I'm pretty confident we won't have any when we're done.

86 -> 91 by the 247 in house rating

He's now the 3rd highest rated player in the class per 247. He went from last to 3rd.

maybe our staff can assess talent or something

I was unimpressed by the Latell commitment, even though low ranked OL consistently become quality contributors, and Tyrell Simpson and Buddy Wegdam two of the lowest rated OL from last year's class are my favorite OL prospects from that class. I thought more energy should go into Dominic Black (committed to Kentucky today) and Q'Mari Hudson. But now Latell is ranked one spot below Black in OT rankings and ahead of Roanoke's Elijah Hutchinson, Junior Saunders, and Hudson. I should always trust Matt Moore.

There is so much that goes into player recruitment I think it's kind of silly to rate recruiters, but it also bumped Moore from the 72nd rated recruiter to 22nd for this class.

Nick Perry also gained 144 spots with the reshuffling today.

I don't follow how they calculate it, but are they actually rating recruiters or just inferring their rank from the ratings of the recruits?
