Bought my 17 year old daughter her first car, a pretty simple 2017 Hyundai Tucson. It currently doesn't have a navigation set up/big screen and I'd like to install an aftermarket setup that would include Apple CarPlay tech. Anyone have any experience doing this and if so, any products/brands you'd recommend or avoid? There's a couple on sale during Amazon's Prime Day(s) so hoping to pull the trigger before EOD tomorrow. Don't buy Boss audio or toto. They are both budget options that I have purchased off amazon. They work fine for a year or so, but eventually break down.

You'd probably be good with a Kenwood or something of that sort. I'd say maybe check out Crutchfield as a research avenue. They have good compatibility tools to help find something that will properly fit your car, vs "fitting" your car. Find it there & see if you can buy on Amazon or they frequently have sales in their own right. Other thing to be mindful of with cars these days is what vehicle functions are tied into the factory entertainment system. Some things may stop working or require additional wiring/harnesses with the replacement unit.

Crutchfield is usually the way. It's at least a nice start to find if/what is even compatible with whatever kind of car you're looking into.
