Custom - Lee Suggs - RB - Virginia Tech Hokies

Progress and finalized pics of the 1/12 scale (6") Lee Suggs I did for Suggs himself in exchange for some signed goodies.

Great player even better guy!

This was an easy choice for a project with Lee being one of my favorite Hokies of all time.

Very well done. Suggs was always underrated, even by Hokie fans, in my view. He is a very classy person, and a good representative of Virginia Tech.

I have to disagree or at least in my mind I disagree with that. Lee Suggs still holds (and always will hold as the Big East has dissolved) the Big East rushing td record (53)and was a beast. What's even crazier is he scored 49 of those touchdowns in 2 seasons. As he was hurt in his junior season.

But maybe for some the fact that we had Kevin Jones a couple of those years stole some of Suggs glory.

“These people are losing their minds. This is beautiful.”

I met Suggs at a party once.

Mutual friend: "Hey Horse, I'd like you to meet a friend of mine"
Horse: "Hi, I'm Horse, and you are?"
Suggs: "Suuuuuuuuuuuuggs"

He figured I would understand who he was. Didn't interact with him much after that.

Very nice! Suggs has always been one of my favorite Hokies. I started watching VT football when my sister started in school in '99, and Suggs was always fun to root for.

"Exit light..."

Sweet! That looks great.

One of my favorite Hokies ever. Nice work.

21st century QBs Undefeated vs UVA:
MV7, MV5, LT3, Grant Wells, Braxton Burmeister, Ryan Willis, Josh Jackson, Jerod Evans, Michael Brewer, Tyrod Taylor, Sean Glennon, and Grant Noel. That's right, UVA. You couldn't beat Grant Noel.

Awesome!! Now I want one... Seriously.

VT 12'... Exit light, Enter night.

Notice, he is wearing Maroon helmet and top...

I'm pretty sure he still holds the NCAA D1 record for most consecutive games scoring a TD (27).

You never saw Lee getting stood up on the goal line.

This! There was no better feeling than getting on the goal line and KNOWING we were going to punch it in. The last few years have made me realize how spoiled I am as a fan from the Suggs days.

Maybe we'll get to Juice up that excitement this year.

Personally, I like my Juice in a Coleman thermos served on a Trey.

We'll jump so hard we'll break the bleachers.

These fascinate me

These remind me of my Grandpa's love of figurines (proper term?). He's still really into hobby electric trains, and paints all his own models. I also have a tin marching band he made out of melted down organ pipes from his church!

Out of curiosity, what are these made out of?

These are done with a myriad of parts from the McFarlane NFL toy line. Depending on the piece there are various amount of parts swapped, custom-made, and/or sculpting done to get the player features correct. This was a straight repaint as the Shaun Alexander pose matched the photograph of Lee and all of his equipment perfectly. This is an example of an easier custom and one of my first ones.

The Juice I'm working on will have a mask that is being made from scratch with 19 guage wire as there is no McFarlane equivalent.

Almost done -
Tyrod Taylor - Pro Combat Uniform (hopefully by weekends end)

In Progress -
David Wilson - Breast Cancer Awareness uni from Boston College game

Upcoming -
Everyone's favorite freshman - Juice Williams (Juice Mode)
Bob Schweickert
Jim Druckenmiller - Sugar Bowl
Kendall Fuller

I post the majority of my projects and sneak peaks of what I am working on over on Twitter acct. (@prripper).

I thought it might be a 3D printer.
