Cincy's 3rd game, Tech's 5th, help or hurt us?

By virtue of playing just 7 conference games, and the Big East not having a championship game, Cincy has a spread out schedule and they've played two games to Tech's four.

Thu., Sep. 6 vs. Pittsburgh (W, 34-10)
Sat., Sep. 15 vs. Delaware State (W, 23-7)
Sat., Sep. 29 vs. Virginia Tech

The common opponent is Pitt, who they dominated.

What's more advantageous: their lack of wear and tear, or our experience?

I think for us we REALLY needed the additional games to prepare and start working out our kinks and getting all the newbies some good experience.

I think it helps us

This is only their 2nd game and first on the road. We know more about our team than they know about theirs. They're probably feeling pretty good about themselves considering they beat Pitt. I think Tech can win this one going away if we play with the effort we saw against GT.

Considering VT's 3rd Game of the Year

I'm glad it's not the 3rd game. All the RBs improved dramatically this week. I guess whatever advice Hite gave to Shane after the Pitt loss worked and Shane got his boys in order this week. They all looked determined to get to the sticks.

That VT secondary is scary, very scary in a bad way. Not sure we can stop any passing offense. Cincy seems to be a running dominated offense, but they seem to pass enough to get first downs. However, Exum is improving, so VT just needs to get a better pass rush and LB/safety coverage to improve. This VT team is a work in progress, so playing the most important games later in the season is vital to their success.
