Officer Paul Metcalf of the Metropolitan Police Department confirmed Morgans arrest at about 1:30 a.m. on a misdemeanor charge of simple assault. According to the incident report, Morgan was accused of escalating a verbal altercation outside his vehicle and punching the complainant in the upper lip.
Hopefully this is a minor speed bump for him. I was looking forward to seeing him play in Chicago and hopefully getting back on track with some more playing time. Morgan had a couple of slow seasons in DC, but Chicago could be a chance for him to restart his career 6 years in the league.

I call bullshit!! ...got into SEVERAL fights with this kid back at tech. One was over RUBBER BANDS (long story). I think I remember people saying he might be bi-polar. His close friend Harp (Justin Harper) eventually peace'd it up towards the end of college but dude was always ready to square up and I wasn't backing down... This kid has a wild temper. Surprised he'd stayed outta the papers this long honestly.

I'm not too concerned with down votes or up votes; I share what I have to offer in honest opinion and experience. I'll admit to having my own ill temperament as a student which earned me the name "Scrapp". Not saying it as something i'm proud of...again just sharing my truth. As much as we love our Hokies, there are good guys and not so good guys. It would have been nice to imagine he had grown out of the physical altercation phase as I have, but then this came up and it became clear to me he hadn't. I have no doubt in my mind he punched this individual. I'm not out here to testify against anyone...this is just the reality I experienced with the individual.

Haha...I was definitely the better fighter. He's a strong kid but not a power puncher as evidenced by lack of visible injuries to his accuser. I used to box with the Tech boxing club so I took the early rounds. But the fight that escalated the furthest was the last one after an "alpha ball". He and a couple O-linemen waited for me outside the party...before my friends got there I stupidly wen't outside anyways. It wasn't pretty. Noland Bruchette helped me break it up, but they chipped my front tooth that night. It was time to call a truce at that point...my attractiveness was being compromised and I didn't like that. We shook hands a couple weeks later and that was the end of that.
Not sure what the downvotes are about. I witnessed the football players get into several fights in my time at tech. I went to the "black parties" and so did they. It wasn't a surprise when the football players were trying to or actually fighting somebody every other week - it became expected as early as my freshman year. This has nothing to do with Morgan's current situation, just following up Scrapp's comments.
I knew Scrapp a little and I can attest to the fact that he knew football players and "ran in their circles." I didn't witness the fights he speaks of but I don't doubt for a second that he's telling the truth.
Agreed. I went out with Drunk and some of the players on the team when I was at Tech. Drunk got into fights practically everywhere he went and if there wasn't a fight he would make one. Saw other players start shit too. I would say this is true for every year's team at every university. There are always kids looking for some "fun"
Yeah... I hate to trash talk former players (especially ones I've never met), but Morgan's twitter was filled with homophobic slurs after Jason Collins came out. I unfollowed him.
He was only punched in the upper lip? Either the person has a really big upper lip or Morgan has a really small fist.
Or very, VERY precise aim.
Strangely, targeting the upper lip ONLY during fights seems to be Morgan's MO....he busted up ifScrapp's upper lip good several times in college.
