Basketball: Oregon State pulls a Weaver

http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball/story/_/id/10884778/craig-rob...

Oregon State fired Craig Robinson today after a couple mediocre seasons and a mass exodus of players from the program between graduation, draft and foreign playing options.

The only real impact for Tech might be that Nick Faust from Maryland had just announced he intended to transfer to Oregon State so he might be coming back on the market with this news.

Just seems really odd timing for this termination and puts Oregon State even more in a hole recruiting and reputation wise.

WOW... and I thought the firing of Seth was late in the game... This is a week and a half after that point in the offseason, and is over a week after the dead period, where coaches cannot visit recruits, began.

There HAS to be something more to this.

Is it too late for Buzz to get some of their players? The hokies could use all the help they can get.

There's always a lighthouse. There's always a man. There's always a city.

I thought they weren't going to fire him until Obama was out of office

Outside it's night time, but inside it's LeDay

I'm here for the memes, I just stay for the football.

Sounds like Oregon State may be aiming to bring in Ben Howland, which would be a big upgrade from a coaching perspective.
