According to Gerry Hamilton of ESPN.com ($), Clemmons, North Carolina DE Jalen Dalton has set 3 of his 5 official visits. UNC, Virginia Tech, and Florida State are definites, and Dalton will decide on two other schools this summer.
"... I went to Virginia Tech for a junior day. I like Coach [Charley] Wiles, the defensive line coach, and my parents liked it a lot, which plays a big part. ..."
Obviously, Dalton would be a tremendous get for Tech.

You may think UNC has the upper hand with Jalen being in North Carolina, but VT is maybe 15-30 minutes more of a drive than UNC from Clemmons, NC. This is negligible when compared to FSU. Plus at VT you have the credibility of a player that can read and write. I say the choice is simple.
SO many of his highlight happen because no one tries to block/can block him. He stands straight up and wait for the qb to pull the ball from the rb and then goes and gets him. Before that happens he is literally just stiff arming the guard then throws him away
My thoughts exactly. He shows some technique, but most of his plays come from kids being scared of his size and avoiding him.
So maybe a RS year to adjust to being taken on by Rogers?
Kid is disruptive:
IIRC, his parents are both alums. Which should really help us out on that front.
Edit: Jalen's quote about his parents are the top comment. http://virginiatech.247sports.com/Board/59428/Contents/Quote-by-Jalen-Da...
This may sound like a joke.......but,.....
What about TE?
Great size and rush, but would like to see him continuing to churn his legs after contact. On so many of his tackles, his feet stop. Of course, this could be the result of his target completely collapsing when he initially hits them. Either way, would be a great get, but would need some coaching up.
Sweat + Settle + Taylor + Dalton por favor
That would be a seriously nasty line up
