YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - Jim Tressel will be the next president of Youngstown State University.
YSU board of trustees voted unanimously today to offer the position of president to Tressel, executive vice president for student success at the University of Akron.

Did you see the 30 for 30 Youngstown Boys? If you did, it would probably make more sense. Youngstown loves this guy regardless. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if somehow Maurice ended up there somehow.

Interesting choice. I don't know much about Jim Tressel beyond coaching. I wonder if his background involves higher education.
He does a lot to help underprivileged youth in Ohio. I believe him and Maurice run a charity together.
Most especially in the Youngstown area. I think that's why they picked him. I'm pretty sure he'll do a lot to get Youngstown kids to the school. When he was coach there, he pretty much recruited kids from the area and made them into a powerhouse.
