Make it so, Number 2.
YEEEAAAHHHH
On a related note, I believe I saw J.R. Collins got a similar invite to try out with the Redskins
Edit: Found Mike Barber's tweet about it.
Fly Eagles Fly. God knows they could use some help at Safety. It would be just like old times - Roc and Davon in the secondary.
Yes they do. If he signs, I will buy his jersey and be all like...
I remember the beginning of last season, they were so week at safety
Chip Kelly sarcastically remarked about something along the lines of
putting an ad in the paper for a safety. It was like how Buddy Ryan was
with the replacement players in the 80s. GO HOKIES!
I hate the reputation Roc has gotten in the fanbase. True, he kicked the one punt into the endzone in the Saints game last postseason. But is that really grounds for kicking him off the team? I don't think so.
For those of us that may not follow the NFL that thoroughly (I live out west), can you clarify this Roc situation?
Cody Grimm will be in Carolina as well.
Just read that on the panthers website and you beat me to it on here. Wish him the best and hope he makes the team. Looks like he has a lot of competition at safety
They drafted Tre Boston from UNC...he should be able to beat him out pretty easily
He must have done well, the Eagles signed him to the 90 man roster today.
Davon is an Eagle
Davon
Here's a really good article about Davon and the 3 year process he went through to finally get signed to an NFL team
Hey, didn't Dav take off the QB from U Can Do That Tech's arm back in '10 when he tried to arm tackle him???
He did indeed:
00:08:02–00:08:51
Great news!
Go Birds!! (Both Eagles and Hokiebirds, that is)
Richmond Raiders Film:
Aw, no way! Had no idea. Nine mins of pure kickassery. Too bad no sound.
Not sure how I feel about the first highlight being an illegal hit and a penalty. Should that really be your first highlight??
Good luck Davon.
It was not an "illegal hit." I certainly didn't observe an illegal hit. I just saw outstanding football.
Leading with the head to a defenseless receiver. Helmet to helmet contact. Flag was thrown. Could be an ejection in the NFL.
He's not defenseless he was just too slow to react. Dude had two steps and a good view before getting knocked da fak out. What puzzles me is the phone # posted at the end. Goodbye privacy.
Not seeing the flag thrown. Do you mean it would be flagged in NFL? IMO: a) it wasn't that hard of a hit. b) it just looks like their face masks popped (hit together) and DM probably had at least 2 snaps unsnapped which is why it came off. Incidental contact I think.
The official at the top of the screen at the 20-yd line throws a flag. Pause at :30 and you'll see it. Hard to know (1) what the penalty was he was flagging or (2) if it was ultimately ruled a penalty or if the flag was picked up. Borderline call IMHO; without more angles I'd be inclined to say play on, too.
ah, you are correct and I agree, play on. Forevermore I am using the Zumwalt Test for leading with helmet illegality and I just don't see DM purposefully leading with his head. Could be flagged for the incidental contact but certainly not malicious.
That story takes fortitude.
This does not surprise me. Not when you have a Fuller at head coach.
I highly suggest going to a Richmond Raiders game. Dudes go hard every single play -- its like NFL Blitz in real life
