Michael Brewer hasnt even played a down yet for Virginia Tech but he has already picked up a cool nickname from Mook Reynolds: Vanilla Vick. If Vanilla Vick has as good a season as Mike Vick , the Hokies can get back to elite level.
What Hokie has the coolest nickname?

Jones, Suggs, & Harmony.
I think the credit for coining it goes to Andy Bitter. He was the first I saw to use it, anyways.
Whoever coined it, its just a cool nickname for a VT QB.
Bam Bam Kam
Macho Harris
Logan Thomas the Tank Engine
T-Mobile
Danny Coale being a synonym for opening something (e.g. I Danny Coaled some brews before watching the game)
The Untouchables
When I first heard T-Mobile, I laughed. I think this one is the best of the bunch.
However, Danny Coale is probably my favorite
T- Mobile wins.
+1 leg for the DC one. I'll have to start using that one...
Stupid question. Is T-Mobile Trey Edmunds?
Tyrod
no stupid questions
Yeah, it's that guy.
There are no stupid questions. Just stupid people.
Leave the West Virginia Fans alone.
I graduated from Tech and married a fellow Hokie. I can't be that stupid.
Fancy Gap Frank
I'm proud to know that sometime through the night "Fancy Gap Frank" got me to 1000 turkey legs. First off, I'd like to think my wife for putting up with me being on my phone checking TKP constantly. And my dog, for letting me stare at my phone while he walks me. He hasn't ran us into any traffic yet. I think I may just take the day off and celebrate this wonderful milestone.
Go get a huge turkey leg and then sneak into Lane Stadium to eat it. It is the only way to celebrate this achievement. Congratulations, your life is now complete.
Oh contraire, life is only beginning.
Welcome to the prestigious 1000 leg club
I wish I was in the club. Some day.
To everyone who already legged me..

here you go, one leg closer
Can I have one? I am farther away than he is. :-(
Sure
you're van damme right you can have one
Too soon for Belgian shit, man.
You should take "Proud" out of your name if you are pandering for legs. Stick to Ice-Age nuts.
Ha! I'll stop!
So, all you have to do is ask?
Well it usually helps to put up a gif (ie CFB dancing over wahoo field, wahoo snow angels, SAM ROGERS, etc).
I don't normally give out turkey legs for nothing, but I was having a good day so I wanted to spread the love. Once I opened that door I knew I would get more requests though. Just how it goes...
Right...what were we saying...about again...
I own many leather bound books, and my apartment smells of rich mahogany .
Congrats!
I would like to take this moment to apologize for my blatant disregard for this great honor when it happened for me a week or so ago. My silence on the matter shows a deep lack of understanding of the magnitude of each individual turkey leg, much less the 1,000 or even the 10,000, and the esteemed position our great turkey leg enjoys in society at large. The turkey leg is much larger than any of us here, and I come before you with contrite heart in my great shame. I will not ignore these things in the future; so, congratulations to you, to me, and all those who now and in the future may taste the honor of 1,000 legs and beyond.
And with great mustache comes great responsibility

But we will let it slide....Congrats!
I almost feel like your comment deserves to be temporarily downvoted enough just to allow everyone to legitimately celebrate 1k legs correctly this time around before everyone legs you again to jump it back up.
Whenever we busted a big run Roth used to say something like "that hole was as huge as Fancy Gap." Great stuff. Also: shoutout to AirplaneBottleofBourbon for hooking me up with this sweet photo
Antone Exhume and Chris Mangum
Cody the GRIMM Reaper
Bucky " The Giant " Hodges
Bucky "Jesus, He's So Tall" Hodges
Juice Williams
Vanilla Vick is an awesome nickname. I'd be happy if he was even the Vanilla Randall. Even if he topped out as Glennon (the good aspects of his game) I can live with that.
RMFW
Are you saying he should be called, RMFW Brewer? Now that would be bad.
MMFB?
But does he eat Chick-fil-A on Sundays?
Twice.
"Sam" ... "Rogers"
Bucky
Hodges
. Gojira.
It looks like Godzilla, but due to international copyright laws, its not!
A took a History of Japan course with Prof. Schneider in the Fall of '08. We had a Godzillaviewing party at the end of the semester, along with Japanese rice cakes and other such snacks.
Kendall "the 4th" Fuller
Whose Your Dadi! Nicholas
OpThomas Prime
Danny Ninja Coale
Big Hands Boykin
DW...f-k yea!
Antone Daycare Exum
Brewer would have to do something pretty huge for me to get on board the Vanilla Vick train.
Nice nicknames. Just letting you know that you out Boykin instead of Exum
EDIT: fixed. Thx
while others may be better. Opthomas Prime wins the "i laughed the most" award
Speaking of which, any update on how he's doing in Cards camp?
So, this might go along with this thread.
I was driving around this weekend, and pulled up at a stop light behind a car with UVA plates and the following two bumper stickers:
"Fight Smug"

and this.
I had to laugh. I know they are South Park references, but being on a Hoo vehicle is amusing.
Derrick Hopkins must be terrorizing Charlottesville again.
Even when ManBearPig is terrorizing CVille... still more fans that LOLUVA Spring Game
More chairbacks than fans at the UVa Spring Game...
Wishful thinking, or just reserving seats for the VT game?
Even at Godzilla-sized, those helmets are still the worst
#MOREALLMAROONEVERYTHINGPLS
What's that... Some kind of pig-bear-man?
i saw this one in ocracoke island in the banks at one of the bars. got a good laugh out of it. cuz i dont even think that could help them get up.
If it was at the Jolly Roger, then it makes sense.
The owner of that bar is Dan Wrobleski, Sr. His son, Dan Jr, was on Slusher Hall with me freshman year 2000-2001. Still go down there when I'm in the outer banks to say what up to Dan Jr. Great guy, good surfer. Transferred to UNC-Wilmington after freshman year in Blacksburg, though, said he wanted more beach and less mountains. When you grow up on Ocracoke, I guess you get used to the beach.
I just realized I surpassed the 2,000 leg mark. Thanks everyone!
David "The a Rabbit Catcher" Wilson
I known he's gone but...
Cody "Livin' Dat Ripplemead Thug LIfe" Journell.
And, also from special teams...
A.J. "Punters can Jack Up Dudes Too" Hughes.
I also like A.J. "#PunterSwag" Hughes.
4th down QB
Ding!
The artist formerly known as "AJ Hughes"
at first i starred at this looking for the third ball... then it hit me like a ton of

Don't forget "The Beard"
Sam "I don't need a nickname but I like irony so whatever" Rogers
I like creating nicknames. My favorites have been:
1) Corey "The Million Dollar Man" Marshall, because this is me every time he makes a tackle for a loss
GIFSoup
2) Trey "Fantasy Stats" Edmunds- didn't have the greatest numbers (I still argue because of a lack of touches) but he was great near the endzone.
3) Derrick "ManBearPig" Hopkins
#MANBEARPIG might be my favorite.
While neither of these 2 were actual nicknames they were the most fun to yell in the stadium:
1) BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONE
2) HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUMES
I'm looking forward to MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOK.
Based off the some of the posts on here I keep thinking of him as "The Cat".
I can still remember 10,000 women chanting "DIE-SEL" every time Ken Oxendine carried the ball in Lane Stadium. And if the legends are true, football games were not the only time most of them chanted his name. He ended up marrying a Playboy Playmate. Play on, player. #LEGEND
Do...do you think he made them call him that then too?
#sources from the football players I knew during his time, he was not called "Ox" because of his name
Didn't Druckenmiller marry a playmate too?
Julie Lynn Cialini
Holy sh-

I always referred to two of my favorite Hokies as the following:
DeMANgelo Hall
Eddie "TD Loyal" Royal
However, I know I was likely one of few--if not alone--to refer to them by the aforementioned nicknames.
Lovin this thread! Oh and once I hike to the top of the Geirangerfjord in Norway next week I'll snag a picture with a Go Hokies sign!
I always head DHall, DBlock, or Dlo for Deangelo...
Grant "The First" Noel
Logandozer.
Is that a cross mutation of LT3 and Bill Dozier?
I used to call Ernest Wilford 'Sleeves' around my buddies. Yea it never caught on.
Sam " Drago " Rogers.
MOOKalicious......
The way he's going to blanket the opposing receivers, I like "Mook Reynolds Wrap."
I think you're def onto something with the Reynolds Wrap.
I always enjoyed the nicknames of the QBs in the VT vs FSU 2000 MNC:
Big Vick vs Little Weinke
I remember when Gameday came to the Techmo Bowl in 05. Somebody had a sign that said "It would take two Balls to equal our big Vick."
Speaking of Brewer, this time last year seems we were hearing a lot about Logan and the receivers working out. Any word on the street about what's happening this summer with the self-organized workouts? I'm guessing these QB's are all working hard to be the man.
Go Hokies!
Dragerbomb! for TE Chris Drager
"Boats and Hosley" every time Jayron made a play
Funny Stuff. I gave out so many turkey legs Ive got carpal tunnel syndrome
Lil Sweetness.
