The season opener against William & Mary is no longer a nooner. The game has been pushed back to 4pm!
Virginia Tech's football season has been pushed back 4 hours, but I'll definitely take it.
This may or may not be Whit's doing, but I'll just assume he's being awesome yet again!

Broadcast on ESPNews? Isn't that supposed to just broadcast news?
We ARE the news.
I'm hoping around 11 PM on 9/6 we ARE the news. :-) While OSU is good, they aren't an LSU/Bama/FSU.
Thanks, Whit! Time to prep those tailgate menus!

Oh Whit I could just kiss you!
whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat?!?!?
Whit motherfracking Babcock everyone!!

I have a message on my phone from May 20th telling my friends that it was at 3:30... had it been moved to noon without me knowing? If so, I'm glad they changed it back!
You are correct... it moved from 3:30 to 4pm
But thats still an extra 3 bourbons or so before the game, sooooo win!
Oh absolutely, the later the better regardless!
ESPN has shown it at 3:30 and still does
They're always slow.
The fact that our season starts at 4 pm instead of noon just seems to me like it is going to set the tone for the season. Great things are going to happen. I'm putting my name on it.
Wat
This single-handedly may have wavered my decision to attend the game
Same here!
OK, I'm curious - why does a 30-minute difference in kickoff time change your minds?
(or maybe I missed the sarcastica)
i think a lot of folks thought it was gonna be a nooner. i'm just excited its gonna be on tv now. dont have to hook the laptop to the tv with inconsistent espn3 quality.
^^^This. Thought it was a nooner.
Excellent news!! Lane should be rockin!!
Its too bad this game being so early in the season won't quite be a night game by the 4th quarter but we should get a nice sunset to usher W&M back home nonetheless.
I didn't think this game was ever a nooner. I thought it was always set at 3:30. Would like to see them do the same for East Carolina.
You're right. We had the option to set the time for this one and picked 3:30. Apparently the extra half hour is due to ESPNews deciding they want to air it. Glad they pushed it back and not up because I've actually been excited to play W&M for a while now so I don't have to tailgate with just breakfast.
Yea I guess I was wrong when I assumed the game was originally at 12:00. That makes this post a little anti-dramatic...
