I hope to see them knock down opposing defenders, like they were bowling pins. We have what appears to be most of the elements to see the O-Line rebound, now it's just a matter of execution.

When Bitter mentions a phrase like 'worst-rushing-attack-in-VT-History' it's tough to be anything but optimistic. There is no way they get worse than 119 ypg; is there?

If they averaged 125 ypg, that would be 'an improvement', but that doesn't necessarily mean it is a reason for optimism. When the most optimism generated is - 'The guys we had last season that were so historically bad are back with more experience, and the new guys look strong...'? It seems grasping at straws to be optimistic. I'll hope, but wait to see results.

1. "Jonathan McLaughlin went through the growing pains of being a true freshman starter at left tackle last year and should be better for it, a potential bedrock in the making"
2. "Teller and Conte are weight room studs. They're huge, the kind of massive body-movers that Searels seems to prefer."
3. "...the old school run-it-down-your-throat mentality that was first held by Jeff Grimes and now appears to be every bit of Stacy Searels' philosophy"
On another note: We all wish Brent the best in getting healthy. He is a hard working Hokie OL, he deserves respect.

I wonder if No. 1 is going to be Quarterback???
It is the elephant in the room as far as VT football goes. Who is the QB
Backfield! QB's and RB's. I'm optimistic this is going to get sorted out real well.
All I want for the OL is for them to keep our QB off his ass and to open holes for our RBs... is that so much to ask?
I see two major flaws in this logic...
Isn't that kinda the job description?
Exactly
I didn't realize that our line was statistically that bad last year.
Oh, it felt every bit of that bad seeing it in person and on T.V.
They were better than in years past. I hope they can continue the improvement.

I thought that was a Wyatt Teller gif.
It looks like Sam Rogers' big toe
