Elite 2016 Benedictine WR Scott Bracey commits to Duke.

This one hurts a lot. I always thought he would head OOS but Duke is pretty shocking. Best of luck to him however.

4* WR/ATH... 247 composite rating of .9747... 52nd overall recruit in the country, 2nd best recruit in VA, 2nd overall ATH recruit in the country... From Richmond

Yeah, that one hurt

According to 247, it came down to Duke or Ohio St

We're talking about a 2016 recruit right?

Correct.

It's good info but nothing to get worked up about. There is so much to worry about between now and the end of the 2016 recruiting cycle. He could drop to a 2* by then, rise to a 5* and be lured by the big boys, or anything in between. It's also possible that he just fell in love with Duke and what they offer.

When it comes to VT WR ,in Moorehead I still trust!

Cutcliffe is about as good recruiter as he is coach. Duke recently stole a 4* TE out of USCw's backyard. I know people may disagree but I think that Duke is on the rise as long as he is there.

"I feel like this is the start of something big," Bracey said. "This is the era of Duke Football. I want to be a part of it."

LOL

The "what have you done for me lately" momentum in recruiting is crazy.
VT lost a lot more than just a football game to Duke last year.

Yup. And another mediocre year this year will be awful, especially if we lose to Duke 2 years running. Need to hit it big on the field this year!

If Fuller and Facyson are still around I hope they knock the shit outta him.

congrats to him. Hope he does well. Now can we post something about VT recruiting?

The number 1 recruit in the country will be in Blacksburg this weekend. That counts as something positive, right? :)

In Sam Rogers we trust.

see there you go +1

On topic and also about VT. Both what I like to read here at TKP

VT couldve used him as WR, but the hokies have Standford, Ford, Holland, Phillips, Knowles, Newsome, Prince. VT needs more WR for the future, but its not a dire need right now.

Yep, we're chock full of Elite 4-5 star talent at WR...And don't get me wrong, I'm pleased with the haul VT had a WR last year. And I hope they all star at VT. But, Bracey is an elite talent that could come in day 1 and earn immediate PT, IMO, barring unforseen circumstances (injury, etc).

Here's some Soph film.

off topic, but does anybody remember Todd Nolen? He was like 6' 3" 185lbs. I thought he was going to be the next great VT WR and he never was able qualify. Random post, I know. Don't know why I thought of it when reading this topic.

Bleeding burnt orange and chicago maroon

I heard he was rooming with drew harris

Academics were of big importance to him, and a duke degree is pretty good. Not saying a VT isn't!

He's quite a kid- straight A student and incredible athlete. I've seen him play since he was a 12yr old 8th grader (and BTW he'll be playing QB this year and not receiver). I hate to see another BHS kid not chose to follow his fellow Cadets (Minor, Meyers and Williams) to Blacksburg.

There is however still hope as he won't be 16 until September so maybe SL/AM can change his mind!

He seems a smart stud. VT can give him everything Duke can and more. VT has a good relationship with that High School. Until he signs the LOI, Coach Moorehead should keep recruiting this kid .

Of course if he decides to stick with Dook, DBU can still give him everything they can and more...when Mook gives him headaches on the field.
