11W posted a good interview with Cager after his appearance at the Buckeyes' FNL event. Cager earned an OSU offer while in Columbus. It seems like Virginia Tech has its work cut out.

Always interested to see the order in which offers come in. UK, Tenn, Bama and OSU all trickled in right after us.

Yup, camped at Tech, Bama, UK and then Tenn, I believe. Offers were more or less in that order, according to 247.

It looks like he grew up an Ohio State fan. I don't blame him for putting them at the top right away. I was a big Duke basketball fan growing up- if I got an offer to play basketball for them when I was 17, I probably would have committed on the spot (don't hate me)...this is something that might hurt us in the future. Objectively speaking, it's not that much fun for the casual football fan to watch VT play. Unless we're racking up big hits, INTs and dominating special teams, we're pretty boring (In the same way the Spurs are boring).

The defense has always been fun to watch.
2010 offense with Tyrod, Evans, Wilson, RMFW, Oglesby, Coale, Boykin, Davis, Roberts, etc was actually pretty fun at 21st in the nation for points/game.
I know it's 'what have you done lately' in recruiting, and 2 years is a long time.
