Monday Morning Laugh: CNBC Host Jabs at LOLUVA

This is sure to start your week off right!

I'm a Finance guy and typically will start my mornings off by flipping between SportsCenter, Mike and Mike, and CNBC's Squawk Box. One of the members of the CNBC team, Brian Sullivan, is a 1993 grad of Virginia Tech. This morning, former Governor of Virginia, Jim Gilmore, appeared as a guest. What happened next made for a perfect start to the week. LOLUVA.

Is this guy an alum? Or does he just have good taste.

The Dude Abides

Yea, Brian Sullivan is the class of 93 at VT. Played on the Rugby Team and was a member of Zeta Psi, according to Wikipedia.

Former Gov. Gilmore went to UVA

Brian made it a point to stick it to UVA this morning. Well played.

Alum!!!
Great guy, with good taste!!!!!

Well played, Mr. Sullivan....well played indeed!

Take the shortest route to the ball and arrive in bad humor.

Loved seeing Gilmore squirm. Again...

I love the lolUVA dig but would had been better had he prepared a clever quip like:

Sullivan:And Charlottesville the happiest small town...
Gilmore: and the university of Virginia
Sullivan: which is all the more surprising given the current state of their football team.
or
In spite of losing to the Hokies the past ten years, Charlottesville the happiest small town...

ah well, next time

It's almost like Brian couldn't believe the pitch he was getting in his wheelhouse with the bases loaded, launches a blast to deep right, but falls just short of the wall and bounces over for a ground rule double. Very nice and did the job, but just short of a grand slam.
