For once, lets hope she is right in her prediction.

Might want to revise the title of your post...I almost died laughing.
I know, right? I thought this was going to be a fun post but then I realized party foul
I'm still not going to click on it.
Just Kidding. Even Virginia fans wouldnt believed that.
I'm not sure their fans (both of them) remember what "win the Coastal" means.
Remember? Did they ever know to begin with?
Yes, they learned what that meant when we 38-0'ed the crap out of them on their home field.

.... just kidding.
You're right. Usually she's just blabbing and regurgitating whatever Mama Neck Giraffe spouts off

Kinda OT, but you can guess which direction my mind went after seeing this headline on Drudge.....note:I wish no harm towards any mothership employees.
Someone's been watching The Hangover 3.
This happened...

Michael Brewer appears to be the guy everybody wants to see start, but he left Texas Tech after failing to secure the starting job
Michael Brewer did not leave Texas Tech because he failed to win the starting job. He won the starting job but had a back injury . Typical Espn blunder!
She's half right. Actually I believe he didn't win the job. He was not named the starter after the spring game, but he was apparently considered by many to be the favorite until the injury. However the assumption has been that he left because he didn't get the job back after recovering from the injury, but I don't recall reading about an actual reason from Brewer (I may be wrong on this).
I also recall reading that there was some frustration with the TT medical staff over what Brewer felt was a misdiagnosis of his injury, thus prescribing a course of action the considerably lengthened his recovery.
My gut tells me that there's more to this story. Brewer looked to me to be the better QB in the 2013 TT Spring game, so I wonder if perhaps Kingsbury, as a new coach, simply wanted one of his guys at QB (see: Williams, Buzz) after Brewer recovered or maybe Brewer & Kingsbury just didn't see eye to eye.
You may be thinking of Brent Benedict and Georgia. I'm pretty sure I remember hearing that part of the reason he left Georgia was a disagreement about the treatment of/recovery from his knee injury.
Nope. I don't recall Benedict being a "misdiagnosis", but rather (as you mentioned) just a difference of opinion over treatment.
A little on Brewer and the "misdiagnosis"...and Kingsbury:

http://lubbockonline.com/filed-online/2014-02-13/brewer-vents-after-tech...
You mean they placed him a dark shed and that didn't cure his back injury?
Or am I thinking of Dr. Leach?
UGH. All I can think of is Craig James. Nothing would have been made of that if it weren't for him and I put money Leach would still be at TT.
Kingsbury being there is much better for them. He gets as much national pub as Leach did and he will probably end up being as productive while hugely less whacko.
I enjoy the "wackoness" of leach. Used to listen to him on Sirius Radio while driving to lunch. He was entertaining to say the least.
He might be Wacko but he is also a heck of an offensive coach. I am curious what Washington State is going to do in year 3 for him.
Oh, he's a great offensive coach, but then, so is Kingsbury. I think Leach will do well at WSU. It seems to fit him.
Could this be the next chapter in the "Hokie Football Misconceptions" book? Right after the "LT was a TE that switched to QB" chapter?
I think she hit the nail on the head here. I love Logan Thomas, but the "put-the-team-on-his-back" philosophy, whether by choice or necessity (sometimes I wasn't sure), was not a recipe for success.
It wasn't a recipe for success, but it was arguably our best bet throughout most of the season. Besides, after re-watching the Duke game a couple times, I still maintain that Thomas could have done everything exactly the same and there's still no way we should have lost that game. Too many mistakes from all over the field. My point is that I don't see "improved QB play" as a reason for Tech to suddenly bounce back. If QB numbers improve, it'll have a whole lot to do with the other 10 guys on the field.
I think Thomas was kind of a blessing and a curse. He was uber talented to the point that Loeffler viewed him as the best option for most plays. That "do everything" role was simply too much for him to the point that he made several mistakes, it was inevitable. I think our best game last year was arguably Miami. In that game we had the entire offense involved. We were spreading the ball around, Trey finally got the carries he deserved, and we weren't relying completely on LT. That is my hope for the offense this year. Sure you can say "improved QB play" isn't necessarily the right answer, but I'd most certainly be happy with "less QB play", and I hope that's the direction Loeffler is heading.
If the Hokies can put together 14 games in 2014 like they did against Miami in 2013, the team will be back to elite level.
Having a healthy stable of backs will help. After the Marshall game, Trey's hip wasn't quite right until Miami and I'm not sure JC was ever fully healthy in 2013. In between the Marshall game and Miami, Logan was pretty much our only healthy runner and the receivers were still a couple weeks away from getting their act together. As has been said before, I seriously doubt that the QB-centric offense we saw throughout most of last year was out of necessity, not desire from Lefty.
Ever since ESPN went all Facebook comments style, Heather and Andrea are dead to me.
RIP, ladies.
what about handria or jill and her 5 friends?
I did like the anonymity that the ACCylum gave.
The ACCylum still exists... we've just moved on to a home grown website
You should rejoin sometime
My login is still active. I just haven't been there in forever.
What was the last one you went to? PF initially created one, but then moved it to another site. Not sure if I've seen you around in the new one, but I might have just missed it.
I'm at the current one. Just logged in a few seconds ago to peek in, as a matter of fact.
I never got entry into the bacon fortress. So alas, I moved on to a better site. TKP.
Got access to BL and didn't like what I saw with all the g-chat and Jamayonaise. Came across this site and another that is mostly the manatee, PAbasedHokie, zchris, VTRog, occasionally Judge (may he RIP) among a few others (A64hoo).
That g-chat crap is in the past now...
Lately its just daily making fun of Miami and FSU fans.
As well it should.
Man, I miss deciphering the manatees posts (and seeing newer commenters try and fail), the incredibly insightful chocolate lab, and VTRog's love/hate relationship with Jose. I even miss A64hoo's occasionally funny shots at VT. I was never really a commenter, but I loved visiting the ACCylum, just to read the ridiculous conversations. I never bothered with the BL or any of PF's other sites because it seemed a bit cliquey.
Did Judge ever move to Canada?
Is it finally safe to go back to that Jimmy John's bathroom that ITK/Leader destroyed?
Did that U fan ever get his garage door?
Is JPK's head still on fire?
Would you mind sharing this other site that the grizzled old commenters seem to frequent? If not, I would understand.
Hey, at least that's one thing you can't blame me for. That choice was made at the top.
Why VT will win the Coastal
Because we're Virginia freakin Tech, and the Coastal division is still under our ownership, even after being leased out the last couple years.
Yeah, that GT in '09 and Dook last year doesn't really count.
The biggest takeaway I got from clicking the link is that Heather Dinich is still an employee of ESPN. What a let down.
I don't know about that, continues to give us endless material. Endless like the neck of...well, you know.

For a moment I thought our prayers of HD had been answered...

Not going anywhere any time soon, sorry.
We're gonna win it because we give more azz-whoopin' than we receive. That's the only way, every play.
while we are talking about all these websites is fbs still up and running? i used to visit there to get some info some or just for a read when i had already read everything on every site i could about VT football lol
