Mason Linker of Winston-Salem Journal provided an informative update to Dalton's recruitment: http://www.journalnow.com/sports/high_school/football/titans-de-dalton-r....
"It's probably between Virginia Tech, (North) Carolina and possibly Miami," the affable Dalton said this week. "I was thinking about it the other night, and theres no point in waiting. I will probably make my decision in August or September."
It's a big decision for a player who will turn 17 just this month and who will be in college by January. Like Tuttle, Dalton is on track to graduate from West at the end of this semester.

Probably unc unless something major happens
If Tuttle doesn't go to UNC then there's a good chance Dalton would choose VT. If I remember right Dalton's parents went to VT.
UNC and UM? If he chooses us, he'll actually have to go to classes. If he cares about his education, we'll have a bigger advantage.
I don't think we land him unless he visits again before his decision. Hopefully the coaches make that happen!
What would the impact on Sweat be if he decides VT?
This article makes me think VT. He doesn't like a lot of spotlight and likes it quiet. Too much swag at UM and UNC has a lot of media focus. Plus he wants to lead a team.
Hokienation would love to have Dalton next to Josh Sweat in the Battle of Bristol.
He did say Virginia Tech first...Just saying.
