I still like the hokiestone helmets.. only on close-ups could you really tell there was a design on them, on wide shots it looked like a gray helmet.. I don't think it came across that bad on tv

Yeah, I loved those. Hokie stone is one of the most unique and distinct aspects of our campus and community. I thought it was awesome that the TV guys were talking about it on a national broadcast - that's something that someone out on the West coast wouldn't necessarily know about VT.

at first I was on the fence because I thought they were going to look really corny but at that GT game they looked so great. I would definitely be up for them making an appearance again.

I like them too. I'd just say put the VT logo on instead of the pylons, which the Hokies did late in the year.
I'd do the helmet in maroon with the VT in Hokie Stone. I think that would have been a much better look.
I don't know about everybody else, but I am so desperate for football season to start I am going to watch the Bills -Giants tonight.
