A pretty cool article I stumbled across this morning. The Tour de France is now complete, but what a great testimony to hard work and dedication for this fellow Hokie!

Cool article. Thanks for posting.
Finishing at #53 individually in the premier cycling event in the world doesn't suck!
Go Hokies.
52nd runner up man. Whatevs.
No, I kid. Fantastic ride by King. A hell of a performance for his first Tour de France. Just completing it, particularly this year's version with the brutal pave and the crazy weather that left the defending champ & other biggest GC contender in the hospital with broken bones, and decimated most all the other main contenders with illness.
Nibali had a hell of a ride to dominate the Tour, and may have won regardless, but once the shine wears off, everyone will put a mental asterisk by this years results.
I'll be watching for King next year. Be great to see if he could move up in the standings, but there is no shame in being a great domestique. There is just nothing else in major athletics (I know -- but cycling in really big in Europe, so shut it), like the grand tours in terms of putting oneself on the limit of one's physical endurance for weeks on end, and just finishing is a victory in itself.
