My friend from SC posted this and I found it really interesting that they've had the most success against ranked opponents in the conference.
Also! I'd like to point out that Georgia's record is about as bad as ours against top 10 as is Missouri and several other schools.

Well, well, well what have we got here? I think we've found a weakness

Also interesting that Alabama and Vandy have played the fewest number of ranked opponents during that span. I'd have thought UF would be in that category as well.
I really wish our record against elite teams was better, however it doesn't bother me as much as it once did. The top teams are considered elite for a reason and they are supposed to beat you. How many teams have winning records against Top 5 teams? Top 10? Heck, even top 25 teams?
I would have figured the SEC would be .500 against ranked opponents, since all SEC teams are ranked, all the time. (TIC, sorta).
I would like to see how the SEC fares against ranked opponents OUTSIDE the SEC. Wait...they don't play ranked opponents outside the SEC. (TIC, sorta).
Whatever. The SEC is the greatest. Everybody knows that.
they beat each other but never drop in the polls because the are ALL ranked so highly in the preseason poll. if we had 6 ACC teams ranked in the top 10 an 8-4 would still land you in the top 15 at the end of the season and 2 losses would land you in playoffs with out even winning your confrence. oh ESPN how you have fooled us all into watching the bafoolery that is SEC football and its "tough hardnosed defensive teams" aka teams much like VT that just have subpar offenses.
piggybacking off this comment--->>> If you look at rankings
week 8- #6 LSU vs Ole Miss Loss LSU only dropped to #13 and thats after losing to a 3-3 team.. If that's an ACC team istead of LSU with 2 losses they go unranked for sure.
#5 Missouri is ranked way to high especially after beating a depleted Georgia team and a MAC quality UF team.
week 9 - #5 Missouri vs #20 South Carolina Missouri only dropped to 10 , yes it was 2OT loss but their schedule was laughable up until South Carolina who lost to Tennessee.
Just goes to show you SEC I mean eSECpn is rated way to high even though they have the same type of teams/upsets as ACC ect.
