Great write up. Best one in while

Gibson's comfortable on the left side and able to put some more weight behind his blocking thanks to a summer of chowing down. He said he regularly consumed 6,000 to 8,000 calories a day to pack on the pounds.

A typical meal?

Huge caloric intake, yet swimmer Michael Phelps consumed even more at his peak!

Once a Hokie, always a Hokie

-- Shane hasn't had a chance to talk to David Wilson since the running back had to announce his retirement from football because of a neck injury, although he said tight ends coach Bryan Stinespring, who recruited Wilson to Virginia Tech, did.

"You guys all know David," Shane said. "Bryan told me that he got off the phone with David and David spent more time cheering Bryan up than Bryan did trying to pump David up last night."

Like everyone with the Hokies, Shane was bummed to hear Wilson's fate.

"Its hard, because you talk about Tony Gregory last year, a guy thats just a great kid and full of energy that has to give up football before hes ready," he said. "Now youve got David Wilson, a great kid, a great player that has to give up football before hes ready.
