Welcome Home Virginia Tech Football?
Did we go somewhere? Or are they assuming we are welcoming back our ACC winning ways this year.
Yikes, seemed like a not-so-subtle dig at Weaver and the myriad of uniform disasters we've seen at home over the last few years with him in charge, especially having heard Whit reiterate how he wants VT football to go back to its traditional ways with the uniform.
And that therapy comes int he form of a Thursday night game at Lane!
(I'm ok with the jab...honestly. I mean the vibe has been much more positive FOR the product on the field versus the game times or possible green unis that have occurred in the past. Whit is doing a great job thus far!)

Lane Stadium has a really deep dark voice. I like it!!

Loved pretty much all of it. Only two things I noticed but overall phucking awesome
1) I find it funny that they show a girl getting tossed in the air in the student section given how much they crack down on it, and
2) I really thought the ending was the weakest part. "Welcome Home Virginia Tech Football" should have been a more intense ending to "I... AM... LANE STADIUM." or something like that.

Maybe the "Welcome Home" was to make the fans feel guilty about breaking the sell-out streak?
The guy they show right before the girl getting thrown is definitely doing a "Stick It In" hip thrust.
Now Whit is just toying with us. He knows we are going to notice these things and make wild assumptions as to game day experience for the rest of the month.

I'll be honest. I get nervous when I see people throwing girls near the top of East stands on the edges. One bad throw and, oh man I don't even want to think about it.
I feel the same way every time I see the Hokie Bird go crowd surfing up near the top of the stadium

I didn't realize that the first game ever in Lane was against Bill & Mary. My displeasure in playing them this year is gone now that I know it's in essence a celebration of 50 years of Lane.
Whether or not it was intentional, its pretty cool that the first 50 years of Lane came full circle like that.
With that being said, I just hope we don't suck for the next 30 years, like we did for the first 30.

FedEx just delivered a 184 page book on 2014 VT Football.
Looks like it's from the Athletic department, I'm guessing a season ticket holder bonus.

Last week, we got the car magnet and the extra Hokie Club stickers. We normally just get stickers... So I was excited.
Just another example of Whit's awesomeness. Typically you get a standard letterhead one-pager thanking you with a sticker (in a regular envelope). This year's is a very high-end looking (and probably expensive) four-way folded, full-color brochure with 2 exterior stickers, a magnet (oddly sized the same as a license plate) and interior sticker. The production value and effort put into it is obvious.
Whit just gets it. Really feels like the athletic fund (Hokie Club) finally appreciates the members...novel concept!
Yea I kind of wished they finished with, "This is Lane Stadium" or at least the title of the video, I am Lane Stadium. Other than that, this video was pretty awesome.
