Report: Investigation into Academic Fraud Underway at Notre Dame

Dan Murphy of 247Sports reported Notre Dame players were missing from Friday's practice: http://notredame.247sports.com/Bolt/Players-Missing-From-Fridays-Practic....

A foursome of Notre Dame veterans was not seen leaving the Irish practice field Friday afternoon. Cornerback KeiVarae Russell, defensive end Ishaq Williams, linebacker Kendall Moore and wide receiver DaVaris Daniels were not among the players who exited the LaBar Practice Field Friday.

Notre Dame did not respond to questions about their absence. The Irish are planning to host a practice open to faculty and media Saturday morning.

If I remember correctly Davaris Daniels was kicked off the team for the Spring Semester and only rejoined the team this August... What for you ask... Academics!! Also the QB Golson was kicked off for last year due to academics.

Starting to see a theme here, the student athlete is turning into a $tudent Athlete. It's only a matter of time before they start to get paid.

In the end they had such a good recruiting class it won't effect them at all. If UNC got by the big $ donors from ND will pay off the NCAA.

I can't help but think that players are seeing how others are being paid, whether caught or not, and wanting their own piece of the pie/cake. If I had to guess, they look at Reggie Bush's situation and see that he's still in the NFL making bank and aren't afraid of being declared ineligible as long as they still get into the league. Or they have been treated with an "above the law" mentality for so long that they think they can get away with it.

Ok...so athletes wanna get paid, and the NCAA wants them to get good grades.

Duh! Pay them to get good grades! My mom did this with me in middle school with amazing results. Here are the details of her master plan -

A - $4
B - $3
C - push no pay
D - owed a $1
F - owed $2.

This is such a no-brainer.

My parents had a similar plan.
A - $10
B - $5
C - $0
D - Owed $10
F - Owed $20. They really wanted to focus on the penalties.

my father was more competitive with me and my brother

$25 for the brother with the highest gpa
$20 for the one with the most A's
bonus $25/class for the one with the highest grade when we had same class together

and after my brother graduated the pay for grades scheme was over, and he said "you know how to get the grades now"

Even if these allegations are true , ND will get no punishment by NCAA .Hey, it's Notre Dame , everyone knows how "SPECIAL" & coveted they are. NCAA has already set precedents by allowing North Carolina to go virtually scott free.
